The Suitcase Entrepreneur: Create Freedom in Business and Adventure in Life Review: Wow! this book is amazing a real Gem - Wow! I don't know where to start to write a review of Natalie's book, I could rave about his book for ages and write pages as Natalie covers every nook and cranny of having a mobile business. The book is outstanding in terms of relevant and useful information. It took me ages to read the book as I kept stopping and making a note of the relevant tools, tips and strategies that would help right now as I set up my mobile business. The chapters I absolutely loved were: Setting up an international business: I was particularly pleased to see and learn about the legalities of setting up an international business. Natalie covered this topic really well, and helped me to decide how I would set up my business in regard to taxes and administration purposes. Tool box: As a online tool fanatic (get overwhelmed with so many) I learned heaps about online tools that actually work to make you more streamline and effective, rather than clutter your business life. How to become a pro at being homeless (priceless): This chapter really spoke to me and I was nodding in agreement to many things Natalie mentions and outlines about the characteristic and qualities you need to be a successful homeless body! This chapter really hits home the mindset needed and if you are cut out for it. I loved it, and made me realize I certainly have the mindset in many areas. But, since I am not actually truly mobile yet, I had yet to embrace this fully. Having the knowledge and awareness set out by Natalie on what to expect really helps you to fully understand and be pro-active in your approach to being mobile. Minimalism: my challenge area as have been a "just in case" nutcase for years! But I am in love with the idea and its essential to be mobile. Natalie gives the benefits and the actual list of things you need which was very useful. Each chapter has an action to do list and how to implement what Natalie talks about in each chapter, with tips and advice from other entrepreneurs. This is so helpful and there is solid advice, as Natalie walks her talk. As said, I could talk and rave about this book for ages. Natalie's book is a bible for anyone wanting to setup a mobile business, and you will want this book by your side every step of the way, either on your kindle or physically in your bag luggage. You will be rereading it for reference for every tool, strategy, shortcuts and tips for a successful mobile business, I know I certainly will be. I am working for myself now (at present offline), because I found and got to know Natalie :) And Natalie has written a gem of a book, one I think was written for me as I now venture offering my services online! Highly recommend you buying this, you won't be disappointed. Review: Loved it! Great resource for those starting out in business and traveling. - I bought the paperback to read through and highlight all the good stuff inside, but I ended up reading a lot of it off the kindle copy I bought on sale too. I don’t remember where I heard about Natalie Sisson, but I’m so glad I found her and this book! It was absolutely fabulous! What a fun, engaging, easy to follow guide for those who would like to start a business and run it from anywhere. I found the tips that Natalie gave throughout the book very helpful, easy to access and eye opening. I loved the inclusion of not only Natalie’s, testimonials, but the variety of testimonials from people who are living their dream of traveling and working at the same time and found them very inspirational. There’s just enough info about starting a new business, pro tips on how to go about organizing it, outsourcing, promotion and sales to get even the most clueless entrepreneurs out there a fighting chance to get their dreams going. I absolutely loved how it was chock full of travel tips, websites and apps all through the book to help you out while you’re away from home. What a wealth of information, precautions and insider hacks that can be used for any world traveler. I’m a writer and have recently really thought about travelling more abroad while I work off my laptop creating stories. I can’t wait to put this wealth of information to use and enjoy my time off even more than I do now. I highly recommend reading this guide. It’s not dry or boring but fun, engaging, and you get a real feel for the lifestyle through not just Natalie’s eyes, but from a range of business owners doing the same thing she’s doing. More freedom while working is my goal and I really loved this book. I will be definitely looking at it over and over again for reference as I travel the world and live the life I can’t wait to jump into. Great book!

An outstanding resource for both startups and successful business owners.
Like Natalie, I have spent the majority of my career working in the corporate world - working in senior, strategic marketing roles for some of the world's biggest companies. And like Natalie, I stepped into the world of self-employment, in my case setting up a marketing agency that over seven years grew to deliver a turnover in excess of $1m per year. Despite my training, and despite the success of my agency I was left feeling unfulfilled. The Suitcase Entrepreneur nailed the problem for me. My $1m a year company had effectively trapped me in JOB. One that delivered a solid return. One that had funded several property purchases. But one that prevented me from living a life I had loved. A life of travel. Of exploring new countries. Of meeting new people. And of volunteering my time with the less fortunate. This book helped me to realise that something needed to change. I couldn't stay stuck in my current business if I wanted to really live life to the full. I had to take a leap of faith, get out of the company that I had built, and trust that I could build another equally successful business. But this time, one that gave me the freedom to live life at the same time. I had two options - to rethink the way my current business was operating. Or get out and focus on something completely different. I chose the latter. As a marketer, I was bored. I needed a change. And I needed a fresh project that got me out of bed every morning and kept me excited enough to switch the laptop on at night. Natalie gave me not only a sense of what was possible, but a solid roadmap to make that possibility a reality. I have gone on to purchase several of her resources, and constantly refer back to her website to find her "go to" person in areas that I am currently working on. Remember, that like Natalie I have been trained by the best marketing companies in the world. But the world of marketing is one that is constantly changing, and one that constantly requires you to re-educate yourself to keep on top of what is driving people. Natalie brings a wonderful blend of corporate training combined with several years of running a successful startup business and a wealth of trial and error to her readers. And the combination makes every cent of this book worth paying. As for me? I'm in the final stages of walking away from that $1m a year business to focus on something I really love. And something which will give me the freedom to live the life I love. Thank you Natalie :)

Natalie, thank you so much for this book and it's detail!! You have really nutted out every single detail and aspect required when becoming a suitcase entrepreneur. It's great to know that my love of cloud systems to save documents and files is the way to go, to be able to travel much lighter, and also have access to it wherever I am in the world. Always a concern for me is recharging my tech equipment such as phone and laptop, on the go, and you've offered such amazing suggestions to overcome running out of juice. I've been a Google fan for so long and for multiple reasons, and it's comforting knowing that I've set up the way similarly to you so far to get my dream of a suitcase entrepreneur lifestyle going. The apps you've suggested, particularly Asana and Evernote, are programs I use all day, and absolutely love it! Thank you so much on the raw detail, no bulls***, and allowing us into to see your life. It's been so inspiring to read and action too! Looking forward to your next book!

I was a little concerned that this book may not be particularly relevant to me being as I don't want to travel but I was very wrong! This book really helps you focus on what you want from life not just from your business. Most business books I've read focus on what you want from your business but this book made me take a step back and think about what I really want in life and how I can make my business fit around that. By the time I got to the end of the first section I had already made a life changing decision thanks to the advice in this book. It made me realise there was nothing stopping me from achieving my goals now instead of putting them off until the future. It feels like up until now I have been living for the business but now I'm going to focus more on life and work the business around that. There's also a brilliant range of useful links which help with all aspects of running a business, and help you streamline your processes. I'm glad I bought the Kindle version as I could click straight through to the sites mentioned. I will certainly be exploring them further. The last section focused more on people who want to travel but I still found it interesting and picked up a couple of tips for when I next go on holiday. But even if that section is not relevant to you it is worth the money for the rest of the book. The most inspiring business book I've ever read.

I recently bought the Suitcase Entrepreneur book and it is one of the best books i have purchased in the last 6 years. Tim Ferris's 4 hour work week book changed my thinking and i would say this book ranks right at the top. The detail provided coupled with hundreds of tools and examples make it very valuable. I never got bored reading it and i took copious notes. If you read 1 book this year, read this one. Seriously, its that good. Gordon Currie
