Good idea, mediocre execution
So my mom has a traditional mandoline slicer and inevitably cut herself in it. My dad, ever since, has insisted we all be super cautious around one. Well, this seemed like the perfect solution to that little problem. It looks like a good idea, but in reality it doesn't slice particularly well and kind of brutalized our cucumber. Since it's going into a salad, it isn't a huge loss, but it is a little disappointing for a gadget that showed such promise. It seems to do better with really firm vegetables, like carrots, but the huge trade-off in versatility isn't honestly worth it. This sadly relegates this to a very niche gadget and we might have to just keep to the old fashioned mandoline.

Consistent slicing but a little messy
It slices consistently but it tends to launch some of the sliced food when you slide up the chopper. There's not a ton of variety in the blade widths. I was hoping for some thicker style fries, but it makes slightly-larger-than-shoestring fries quite well.I wish there was a better way to store the little panels that adjust the size when they're not in use to cut down on drawer clutter.Overall it's useful to have but likely not going to be an essential part of your kitchen.

BEST CHIP maker
This chip maker is amazing. I had another veggie maker and it did not sit quite right. This maker has stand and its own bucket. There are four kinds of cutter types. One of the cutter’s are on one so flipping the side for use for different sizes. The chip maker is amazing with two different sizes. That are on one they are marked. The straw are on two different and they are very thin. Over all it’s the best veggie maker I have ever had.

Design flaws make this impossible to use
There are several things about this product that simply render it useless for me. The gray is way too small. You start cutting up veggies and you constantly need to empty the tray - super annoying and time consuming. The blades on this are strange - they don’t quite give you any smooth cuts and everything seems to come out with some kind of ridges. I also felt like it was really hard to get this product clean enough to prevent bacteria and mold from growing on it, mostly because it didn’t come with a small cleaning brush like my old one did. I’m rather disappointed in the quality of this product.

It Chops, It Slices, It Dices...
I liked working with it, but I think I could have done the job faster without it. Maybe my potato chips would not have been as even, but who would notice? It does a good job of julienne slicing and making potato chips. It also gets jammed, that takes time to clear, but you have to mind the blade. After the job the clean-up by hand, is fairly easy. One noteworthy point is that it is safer than alternatives for cutting yourself. So, the bottom line is that it is functional, but not a "must have".

Gets The Job Done
This mandoline slicer is definitely not professional quality but it will get your home kitchen tasks done. It's pretty much ready to go straight out of box, just wash everything and put the guard onto the food hole then select your blade. To my dismay, a rather thin potato had to be cut to fit into the product hole but once it fit, the slicer worked well, albeit a bit jerky at times. The julienne blade was a bit frustrating, and I quickly changed it out to make slices. The potato got caught and had to be readjusted a few times and as the slices piled up in the collection bin, they began flying about a foot from the slicer, landing on my work top.The safety plastic part that holds your food product once it it too small for your fingers does a great job of slicing nearly all of the product and the small piece left upon the safety spikes is barely considered waste. Just add it into whatever you are making or toss it away.I do like the safety factor and how your fingers are kept away from the cutting edge, a very nice feature for someone not experienced with a tool such as this one.The non slip grips on the bottom are indeed non-slip and this thing stayed put during the entire testing process. This is a decent option if a traditional steel mandoline slicer frightens you and you do not plan on using it very often.

More work than it's worth
This slicer is not as great as I'd hoped. It doesn't always slice the best and you really have to have the vegetable in the perfect size and at the perfect angle to get it to work. It's honestly easier for me to just slice the veggies on my own with a knife. Clean up is also more work than it's worth. It is much safer than the one I used years ago, I'm not afraid of slicing my fingers with this one.
