Now that there's just two of us it seems silly to lug out a 2/3 qt pot or a 10/12 in frying pan to cook. Was looking for something that I could use mainly to cook a side dish in (rice-a-roni, knorr rice sides or knorr pasta sides), fresh sautéed vegetables, etc. Looked at the stores in my area and was hard to find an eight inch skillet at a reasonable price with a lid and a metal handle so things could be finished in the oven. Most didn't include a lid, had a plastic handle or were very thin which would lead to either burning the food or warpage of the pan. This pan fits all my requirements and I use it almost every time I cook. My only very teeny-weenie, semi-complaint is that I wish the side was more vertical and that's more of an aesthetic thing, than a problem of any sort. It was packed by the manufacturer so as to prevent breakage during shipping.

Great for single people who want to cook a small amount.. I use pan spray and cook on medium heat for best results.Easy clean up I just let pan cool down then wipe with a paper towel.Nice to have the lid also.

This is a rather heavy pan for an aluminum pan. The quality will be determined when I heat it up the first time. If my oil runs from the center of the pan to the outer edge, I know that the center of the pan is higher than the edges and an egg will most likely run to the edge of the pan also. I have no use for a pan that can't fry an egg in it's center.

I'm really pleased with this pan. I've been through several "nonstick" pans for my morning eggs, and this one seems like it will be durable. It heats very evenly and is amazingly easy to clean - barely even needs soap, just a wipe with a sponge. I'm using plastic or wooden spatulas and hand washing because I want this one to last.

Oven safe and versatile - perfect for my needs. Much lighter than similar cast-iron skillets - so this old broad can easily lift it.

Ordered two of these pans in white. only little draw back is the little speckles in the finish. they can camouflage small food bits.
