This meter does both blood glucose and ketones is a great value. It is easy to use if you read or view the videos. Of course I may have less trouble because I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist and know how to do lab testing and point of care testing. Yes you must put the strip into the analyzer before the drop of blood or it will not work. The strips are a little expensive, but the accuracy is great. I have tried another brand of ketone meter but could never get the strips to give a value. The whole system is a bit pricey but beats the other meter hands down.

I've had the Bruno MD6 since October 5, 2017 and I honestly can say this is an amazing and accurate blood monitoring device. The MD6 will not only allow you to monitor you blood glucose levels but your blood ketone levels as well! It reads all the way down to 0.1 mmol/L. If it says low that means your blood does not contain enough ketones for the meter to read. Since I utilize this monitor for the Ketogenic diet I want to see 0.5 mmol/L or higher to make sure I am in Ketosis. The highest I've reached so far is 3.7 ketone mmol/L. Generally I like to be between 1.5 and 3.0 ketone mmol/L. The only accurate way to test that is with a blood meter. The Bruno MD6 is very accurate and easy to use. Bonus feature it syncs to your phone app!!! You can't go wrong with purchasing this device if checking your blood levels are important to you!

This is a great meter, it is very accurate, and I am very happy with it. The Bluetooth capability is an added bonus. What I am not happy with is the cost of the supplies. The ketone strips are way too expensive and makes it impossible to test often. I am going to have to get a different meter for the long run, I just can't afford to keep going with the MD6 Meter.

When it works, it's great. However, it's complicated and finicky enough that you really need the user manual whenever it shows one of the multitude of cryptic error messages, which it does quite often. This gets super annoying after the fourth or so attempt at getting a reading. There's no way to download the manual if you lose it, and forget Bluetooth pairing - the MD6 Bluetooth is never detected by my iPhone to start the pairing process, so the phone app is a waste of space. Also keep in mind that once it's sold to you, the ONLY way to reach support is (presumably) through email. There is NO phone support at the number on the website, so what would be a two minute question for the company to answer will take at least 24 hours for each back-and-forth. Purely due to the terrible user flow and difficulty contacting the company, for the price you pay for the device and supplies, I'd recommend trying a different product.

When I got the first package there were a few things missing. Bruno customer service immediately responded and re-sent a complete box which I received within two days! The glucometer is very easy to use and read, and the results to the app are immediate. The app is easy to read and provides different ways to view the data. The only issue I have had is with the Keto readings. The Keto strips are not cheap and only come 10 to a box and there are errors reading the strip 2 out of 3 times. I have followed the directions to a 'T' so not sure why they are occurring. The glucose strips are spot on, not a single error so far. It is very rare anymore to have a company who provides such amazing customer service. They stand behind their product and I do recommend this glucometer.

Not pleased. I will be sending this unit back. There instructions are almost impossible to read. I even looked at youtube and their website to see if there was an instructional video, and couldn't find anything. I have used several of these expensive ketone testing strip and continue to get and error code, but none of their literature says what the errors mean or if you can try to get additional blood on a testing strip if it gets an error message. I have lanced my fingers 5 times and still can't get a reading.

I just received my MD6 glucose and ketone test kit and very happy with it. I chose MD6 because the lancing device uses a very thin 30g needle, instead of the slightly larger 28g needle. Plus, the lancing device has an adjustment to set the penetration depth of the needle into the finger. The less pain, the better. Also, MD6 is from Bruno Pharma, a large and well established Italian pharmaceutical that just began offering products internationally. After my order, they sent the Quick User Guide to me via email in a pdf format so I could study how to use the kit and be ready to use it. I had a question and emailed the customer care center at Bruno Pharma and received a quick and courteous reply. Btw, in my experience and opinion, taking Raspberry Ketones will reach about 0.6mmol/L (0.5 is considered minimum for fat loss), whether 300 or 1500mg. A good addition to dramatically increase ketone levels is C8 MCT Oil Powder. The powder is more "digestive friendly", inexpensive, and recommended by Dr. D'Agostino and Dr. Mercola.

I bought this product a couple weeks ago and although after initially not working, customer service was so good and we figured out that it was user error completely. They even sent out a new device and test strips. Once I figured out how to use it properly, again my fault it works perfectly I would highly recommend using Bruno Pharma and purchasing this product. I am doing the ketogenic diet and this is an essential tool for plotting progress. Laura at Bruno customer support provided one of the best customer support experiences I ever had, she is a real asset to that company. Dave
