Can you use eq with ldac with this new version?

You can use your music device's eq (by disabling the fiio's) or use the fiio's options or none.

Anyone know why this would have background noise on YouTube and not Tidal via a wired connection?

Tidal had an exclusive mode to enable MQA playback, if this is enabled you may experience some issues with audio from other platforms. Ideally you should close Tidal before attempting to play through YouTube. You could also explore installing the FIIO drivers to solve this issue

How does this bypass the built in dacs in devices? Surely it acts as an EQ if attached to usb-c as signal already decided by device
