We bought these for a silly, fun reason! We do a lot of mini golf on vacation but hate carrying around the little pencil. We bought these for score keeping and they worked perfect for that. The colors are also fun, we marked hole in ones in a different color

I bought these for my daughter's teachers as they have to write down the temperature of the students as well as who brought them in (she's in a head start program), and I noticed them always having to hold their pens or put them down to help a child. With these necklace pens they literally do not lose them anywhere! It's easy to write on their clipboard, drop the pen to their chest, and boom! No more trying to find where the pen went. This pack also has a little part to where you can press on the sides, and the pen comes off the necklace, which is great when they need to write, but don't want to take off the whole necklace. It just snaps right back on as well. They also have two "color's", I kept one, which is red and a black on the other side. These are just big enough to be super easy to write with, so I would also recommend them for elders. The quality is on par as well, and they have worked wonders for myself in the office.

I always go around work stations and buildings in my line of work as a nurse . I always look for a pen despite just holding one few minutes ago. Having a pen attached to a lanyard comes handy. When needed, I just detach the pen from the lanyard. So it is not retractable. I do not see how that will work as there is tension on the string. It will be hard to maneuver. I also like the idea that the pen is not hanging upside down. I don’t have to worry about ink spills. The downside that I observed is it comes with a cheaply made lanyard. I will score it 5 stars if the lanyard is quality thick with sturdy fibers. I say that because the lanyard happened to stick to the Velcro snap from my bag where I pulled it out from. The fibers became loose and fuzzy. Otherwise, it is thumbs up for the idea.

Extremely poor quality. 1st one broke within 2 hours of use.

I bought these to use in a daycare setting for parents to sign in and out. I liked it because it hooks right to a clipboard and the variety of colors was a plus. After less than a month of use, on of the pens broke and wouldn't go in or out. Another pen had only one side that would work. After 2 months use, 2 of them ran out of ink and another one broke. The strings are strong though. I was able to use that part to hook another pen to.
