I have been using this insect repellent for many months now in Texas summer and outdoors. My kid attracts a lot of mosquito bites and insect bites. So I was looking for a good and effective insect repellent.After applying this I see far fewer insect bites sometimes none. My kid wears short sleeved t-shirts and shorts to school or for outdoor play.I'm not a fan of the scent. It's not the most pleasant but it's not too bad either. At least in my opinion. I think it's all right because it works. And this being DEET free makes a big difference for us.One doesn't find many products that are natural and work well. The bottle is a good size so traveling is good with it. We live in the suburbs with good amount of vegetation around. So lots of mosquitoes and gnats and insects.The one thing that I do for application is to first spray a good amount of it in my palm and then rub it on my kids arms and legs or ears or face. I also make sure to apply generous amounts to last the entire school day. My kid has a sensitive skin and also has mild eczema so I am very careful about applying anything on the skin lest it should cause any reaction or rashes. So I'm really happy that this product hasn't caused any problems for my kiddo.

Awesome product! Mosquitos don't care for my husband much, but, they love me and my children. I was hesitant about this product. I have tried other "natural products" which do NOT work. I used this on a hike in Tahoe with my 2 children. I applied to this on my children's face, neck, arms and legs. I also did an additional layer of spray on their clothing. I reapplied roughly 4 hours later. Neither my children or I were bitten by a single mosquito. My mother in law on the other hand had 4 bites within 20 minutes of our hike. She decided to give this product a try as well. She applied this DEET free product conservatively on her exposed areas only. She did not apply it all over her clothes. After she applied this, she didn't have any additional bites thereafter. I am sold!PROS:- It works!!!- All natural! DEET FREE! Safe for children. Even if you don't have children, DEET free is the way to go. No harsh chemical smell.- The spray bottle provides an even mist for easy application- Bottle didn't spill along our hike.- Cap on the spray stays on well. It took a bit of a beating in my backpack, but, it stayed on well.CONS: I haven't found one yet.

Effective and family friendly bug spray. We live in the south and the mosquitoes this year were terrible. We have been using this spray for about a month or so and it works well. Bottle and sprayer are good quality. While mosquitoes don’t usually target me, this stuff has been effective for me and the kids even while at the campgrounds in the evening. It does smell, but not as strong or bad as other brands. It’s not too greasy either, sprays well and rubs on easily when I have to spray my hand and then rub it around the kids ears. Will buy this again.

The product doesn't get gunked up over time as you spray it. It smells really pleasant and doesn't burn on the skin. It starts working immediately. I do a misting all over the 3 year old and 6 year old from head to toe and no bites all season during heavy mosquito weather.The ingredients are cleaner than any other products I've found and this one works. We have it on auto delivery once or twice every other month. During the summer evenings we would use one bottle every two weeks taking the kids out to play every day.

I really wanted to love this product for its natural ingredients. I can say that it seems to work well at keeping the bugs at bay. The only problem is that it smells like sour towels. I do have a strong sense of smell, so it may not bother others the way it does me, but I am having trouble with it. That being said, the bugs have left me alone tonight. I just hope my husband doesn’t follow suit

I am a mosquito magnet. This stuff works VERY well. Annoying that you have to rub it in but at least it smells good. I tried a different natural option that you don't have to rub in but it was more expensive and lasted for only one weekend. I buy a bottle of this and it lasts all summer.

This used to be my favorite bug spray and now the new formula they created smells HORRIBLE! I'll admit it does keep the mosquitoes away but also my wife! Bring the original formula back and if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Buzzaway works very well for mosquitoes, and it even seems to work well beyond the 4 hrs it claims. And mosquitoes usually LOVE me. It does not work that well for ticks. I sprayed my dog's legs with it and he got a tick, anyway, although, to be fair, the tick seemed to be reluctant to attach. Instead of lying flat on his fur, it was wiggling its front legs around, as if looking for a spray-free spot. Maybe a heavier spray would help, but I'm not sure I want to drench the dog with spray. If a light spray helps me pick the ticks off, that is a plus. Since I don't usually get ticks, I don't know if it helps keep them off me. I would say it certainly doesn't hurt.And, I should add, the scent is quite pleasant and not that strong.
