Different, but pleasantly surprised
Arrived in a single box, guitar shaped, using the bag as a support for the neck. Accessories were packed in a single bag in another area in the box.Upon initial review, it has a surprising amount of sustain and sound.I am a local luthier in my region, (SE Tennessee), repairing and restoring about 2-4 guitars a week. I collect off-name guitars as a hobby, when I can afford it. I saw the Kadence and thought I'd try it.The Kadence Acoustica is a great value for a beginner.IT DOES NEED A SIMPLE SETUP, at least mine does. The neck was almost bone straight, which is fabulous. There was no fret sprout. Frets seem level for the money. But the saddle, which is plastic, was way too high. This is a simple fix which most owners can do.Simply loosen the strings so you can pull the pins on the saddle and remove the strings from that area. Sand the BOTTOM of the saddle so it sits lower in the groove. Be careful not to go too much, but you can see with your eye how much. You need what is called a break point for the strings to climb over before being held by the pins, while still keeping the action low as possible. Go SLOW, you get one chance to make it right. That is about it, at least the one I received.Tuners, OK. Not the best, but it tuned up well, fairly smoothly, with no excess play or grinding in the tuners.Electronics are cheap, but they work, and I was able to tune just fine with a fresh battery. Strings are cheap, but this is one of those guitars that demands Extra Lights. Don't try to make it louder with Lights or Mediums. The Ash top is interesting. A veneer, not swamp ash, but cut like veneer, where they rotate the log and take a thin slice off as it goes around. Instead of all the growth rings showing, you get a different look. I would have never selected Ash, (forget Swamp ash, it is not), but the resonance is surprising. I like it!My guitar has walnut for back and sides, and has five ply binding on the front, and single ply binding on the back. The saddle is held with glue and two screws, should hold forever. This is a bargain and sounds great.I know the reviews in 2023 hit this hard, and having lived in China years ago, I think they changed factories and now produce a decent product.Highly recommended for beginners, fireside plays, and even maybe as a backup for a small band if you can get the electronics to blend. For this money, just buy it.

A No brainer
I bought this to give an honest review. I am not sponsored or anything with this company. I bought it with my money. I set up guitars for several people and myself. The guitar I received was absolutely awesome. The neck relief, fretjob, action, finish, packaging, all were top notch right out of the box! I love the matte finish on the guitar. And especially on the back of the neck. No sticky hands trying to slide down the neck! I checked the frets with a fret rocker, no high frets, and smooth frets! The relief is about .006 at the 8th fret! Amazing! And no fret buzz! I checked the on board tuner with a clip on snark. Spot on. Intonation was great. Setup was great as well. Action is about 2mm on low E and about 1.5mm on the hight E at the 12th fret. Oh and sound, it's fantastic acoustic and electric. Great resonance and sustain. Tuners are smooth and responsive. Stays in tune. The electronics are as expected, cheap but works. No dead spots or loss of sound on all strings. I would gig with this in a heartbeat. I will put a set of elixirs on it now that I know it is worth the cost of the strings.

A Winner!
I purchased this guitar based on the reviews from the US and from videos and photos of this beautiful guitar. Its a gamble based on just reviews and not being able to play a guitar before purchase but I was willing to take a chance since it is only $100 with free shipping. It arrived quickly because the seller lives close to my city and came undamaged and in good shape though I question whether others will get the same satisfaction due to the single, fragile box it arrived in. I was surprised and thankful that mine came with the ash top and how well the setup of this guitar came; fret ends were good, no dead frets, action good, tuners were ok, strings were ok, weight was good. The tuner is useless to me as you need a magnifying glass to read it since the letters are so tiny and jumps all over the place so I recommend a clip on tuner. Plugged in the guitar has a natural tone which I am pleased with. The laminate wood has a matte finish with beautiful figuring and wood grain you can actually feel. Playing finger style I found the volume a bit low with not much sustain; strumming with a pick it is quite loud. I guessed the strings are of low quality or old but wanted to try a couple of tricks I use to try to improve the tone. I changed the saddle to bone with a lower height and the bridge pins to brass. These two changes gave me the tone I was hoping for; finger picking gave the strings the presence and sustain I like with an increase in volume. Playing with a pick unplugged it is very loud and sounds great. I did have to adjust the neck to remove buzzing on the low E string which was expected. I am still using the stock strings and will change them to Elixers once they start to die.Overall, this is one of my better purchases, especially for the price. I find it a challenge to find a good inexpensive guitar that can sound and play just as well if not better than a solid top guitar. I have owned Harmonys, Kays, Yamaha, Taylor, Martin and many others ranging from under $50 to $2000 and this one is a keeper.

Great guitar
For the price this guitar sounds great. I have several other pricier guitars and this sounds very nice compared to them.

Color of top is lighter than add .
First impression, it's lighter in color than picture on ad. I liked darker satin look. Top looks kinda cheap to me ,body is well built and beautiful wood.It needed adjustment out of the box not playable. After tuning with nice builtin tuner got some fret buzz. Truss rod is very hard to turn too.It sounds kinda tinny to me,I only play by ear so tone is important to me.I'm no pro and wouldn't suggest one would buy this ,it's like a 100 buck guitar no more imo. Wish I had picked the ash pattern veineer top though. I might not keep it ,sell for a loss ,like always ..lol.
