Taconic Shave Shaving Soap Stick with Antioxident Rich Seed Oils for a smooth shave (Eucalyptus Mint)

This product has a nice smell, is easy to use, and lasts a long time.

I have started to use DE razor shaving for about two months now. The experience that I have with this type of shaving is that it is one of the best shaves that I have ever had. I started shaving with a soap stick that was from France. It worked well, but it just left a soap scent on my face. I wanted something more than that soap smell. I do not use cologne, so I rely on the utilitarian products that I use.Now comes the Taconic Shave Bay Rum Shaving Soap Stick. I bought the shave stick with smell unknown. I had no idea what "Bay Rum" would smell like. When I received the shave stick, the first thing I did what take a deep smell of it. I like the scent. It caused me to look for other products that have the same scent. I then tried it for my first shave.I used my trusty shave brush to lather the soap up and it started to lather up! I found the lather to be a bit disappointing. Not to say it was bad, the first pass was good. I then went for the second shaving pass, and the lather wasn't as fluffy as I like. It still worked, but forget about having a third time. I usually don't need a third shaving pass, but I like to have that option.I would recommend the purchase of this shaving stick to anyone interested in have a shave that leaves your skin moisturized and smooth. I wished that scent last all day, because it is a very good scent. Like I said, I don't rely on cologne or any other thing to have a clean scent.

No matter how much I spun it, the stick would not come out. I thought that if I ran it under water it would help, but that only made it worse and seems to have washed away much of the product. Can't return it because I'm a Soldier stationed in Korea and Amazon only gives the option of a Staples in Indiana. 🤣

I've used more or less the full gamut of quality shave soaps (Proraso, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Cade, DR Harris, Tabac, Pre de Provence, among many others). In terms of lathering and lubrication, this product from Taconic absolutely holds its own. As a face latherer, I love the retractable shave stick format and wish more shave soap makers used this format. However, I would also say that this product's scent and packaging do not feel as premium as some other products at a similar price point. The plastic tube feels a bit cheap and the scent is very mild and "blah". But, like I said, from a lathering and lubrication perspective, an excellent product for everyday use.

the eucalyptus/mint is fantastic and the ingredients feel super nice. The shave stick makes it easy to apply (and carry on travel) and the frsutration of making the foam nice and thick on my face is no longer a problem. Shave stick does the best job.I tried another shave stick at the same time (Cremo) and gave that away within a week. This have stick stays firm and doesn't get too soft and melt away quickly in a hot shower (where i shave). LOVE THIS and will keep buying it whenever it runs out (it'll take some time).

Lathers up nicely with a fresh peppermint scent. Great for travel.

This gives a very nice shave, and is very long lasting. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I was expecting a menthol blast, but there is none. It has a pleasant scent that reminds me of spearmint gum, plus it lathers up quite nicely. Shaves are smooth and frictionless. Have been using mine for about 2 months and its only about 50% gone. So long lasting as well.I wish this brand had a shave stick with menthol as an ingredient.If a menthol kick isn't important to you, then please consider this a 5 star product.
