I purchased this pink stethoscope as a gift for my regular dialysis technician, a lovely woman who was a nurse in Cuba. This week, after almost two years of additional classes while working full time, she was licensed in the US as a registered nurse, and I wanted to give her something to mark the occasion.The stethoscope arrived on time, and upon opening it, I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of construction. This scope has an substantial thick tube, and a heavy duty two sided chest piece. 40 years ago when I started at the Medical College of Virginia, I paid easily three times as much back then for a Littman Cardiology stethoscope, and this appears to be every bit as well made. The carrying case that comes with it is a nice touch, as are the extra chest piece diaphragm and extra ear tips.But the real test of a stethoscope is the sound. So I tested the sound on a variety of medical tasks with the aid of a helpful neighbor. Lung sounds were easily heard, blood pressures easily taken manually, heart sounds, including my neighbor's murmur were easy to detect. As a final test, I was able to clearly assess my dialysis fistula blood flow sounds. This scope has very good sound.I'm really happy with this stethoscope and also with the price, which was just under $20 with tax and free Prime shipping. I'm sure my friend the nurse will be just as happy when she receives it tomorrow. If you have a nurse, paramedic, or student in your life, I think this makes an excellent gift. It is also available in black. I may order one of those for myself.

We got this stethoscope to assist my kiddo in her science fair project about horses and their heart rates while grooming and it worked perfectly. You have to tweak the end a bit to get the right angle but once we figured that out it was great. For our purposes it was perfect!

Sound quality is passable for general practitioner. Great color. Head rotates a little too freely, tends to switch to bell or in between positions on it's own. Good value.

The quality is great, I love that it comes with a pouch to carry it in. But the sound quality isn’t the best. It’s very hard to hear what you need to hear.

Price was reasonable. For someone who has never used a stethoscope, it was easy to figure out. Didn’t realize it had two modes of use. Directions mentioned a dot that showed which mode I was in, but mine did not have the dot. Luckily there’s a video you can watch. It’s like a valve you can open and close to switch from using the diaphragm to using the bell to listen. Also the headset was a little small for my giant head. But it works great for checking my dogs’s heart rate. And it’s pink!

I probably should have read reviews before purchasing. I didn't even try it before taking it with me to work. You can't hear anything on it. I tried turning it and nothing on either side. Luckily they agreed to take it back.
