My package arrived quicker than expected and in good shape. It was sealed well. I was worried about the smell so prepared myself but was pleasantly relieved when there wasn't much of a smell at all. There was minimal rotting. I think the difference may lie in the season you order it in. I got about 20 oblong pearls of varying roundness and shades of pinkish white. Exactly as described.

Most of the “pearls” were more like rough gritty stones than pearls. Returns are hard because you have to crack the shell into pieces to get the pearls out. I’m very disappointed and glad I didn’t give it to my Granddaughter as a give.

I have extremely mixed feelings about this I wanted it to be fun for myself and my son which it was we got 30 pearls out of the oyster however we had no warning that as soon as it was opened our eyes immediately started burning horribly bad and watering and then so did our nose and our throat I don't know what caused it but it was not pleasant at all so if you're going to get it for the future be aware of that. I Wanted to make an update on this review this is the day after we opened the oyster. My son School called and is sending him home because his eyes are red and swelling shut and they are burning also he has a headache. I'm not saying it is due to whatever was in that oyster that burned our eyes nose and throat last night but it's a weird coincidence. I am actually going to take him to his doctors to have him checked. I just wanted to make this follow up to let people know to please be very careful and I would be interested to know if this happens to anybody else that purchases the same oyster

Highly recommend!!! I bought as a gift for my mother, she ended up getting over 10 pearls! Beautiful!!

The shell smelled moldy and I was scared that it was rotten inside. But it wasn’t. Most of the pearls we ok but there was a few that were stuck to the meat and others that have discoloration. Not sure if it’s Normal as for this being my first time opening one of these. The pearls are pretty tiny about 2-4mm. I got about 28 but 8 to 10 of them don’t seem right 😕. Lmk what you think. Should I reach out to the supplier?

It arrived rotten. The oyster was already open and the insides were decayed. It smelled rotten and fungus was growing on the inside and outside. I could not use it at all. It was disgusting.
