Concept good, execution not so
I have two adjacent hammer toes that make it difficult to wear most shoes. I have tried a number of remedies, and am not a good candidate for surgical correction. I have been using a single strap item with some success, but hoped that the double strap would be more efficient. Since one has to stretch the muscles that are contracting, it takes more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time, and doing both seemed a decent approach. If both straps were separate, it would be easier to put on, and tighten each strap individually without cutting off circulation. Unfortunately, there is just one strap, and when new the strap fits very tightly. So this device has the shortcomings of being awkward to put on, and difficult to get the desired tightness on both toes. With more use, it becomes easier, but I also am concerned soon it will no longer be holding the tightness desired. I cannot wear it with a shoe on, so I have it on while sitting and a sock partially covering my foot, to keep it somewhat warm. I will keep it on for several hours at a time.

Easy to trim the foam pad to fit inside my shoe, it has good sturdy elastic.If you have a severe hammertoe, I recommend wearing this at night, or wearing a few hours each day to gradually build up your tolerance. Correcting a hammer toe contracture won’t happen overnight, it takes consistent wear over several weeks. It took a while to form, it will take a while to fix.I really like this little brace. I bought this one with two toe loops to help keep the foam pad in place and it’s working great.

Lack of comfort.
No where near as comfortable as I was hoping for.While the toes felt better, the pad under the foot was extremely uncomfortable.

Hammer Toe Solved
I’ve had two surgeries, but this simple device is by far the most effective approach to hammer toe. What will surprise you is this; the pad underneath solves a problem we all have. When the toes come down using this simple system, the ball of the foot that often hurts a lot, I’d padded and comfortable. You will love taking walks again.
