Good value.
Never used a stud finder till today when I used this one. Was easy clear instruction on how to use and it found studs and also metal as it is supposed to.

Works in a pinch
It's similar to other stud finders - it finds studs (as well as wires or pipes). It's easy to use and pretty quick. This won't work on thick concrete walls as other reviewers have said, but on drywall it works perfectly. To use, just turn it on, choose the appropriate setting, then press it it to the wall and hold the button to calibrate, then slowly move it along the wall until it beeps. Repeat the steps on the other side to confirm and mark the stud/wire/pipe and you're good to go.

Great Stud Finder that Actually Works & is Accurate
This is a much better stud finder than other ones out there. I’ve gone through a few stud finders over the years & this one works the best & is the most accurate. It also has multiple features that regular stud finders don’t include. It detects not only the studs but also indicates the edges of the stud. It also will detect different size studs. The best part is that it comes with everything you need, including a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. It also came with 9 volt battery.

Inaccurate center mark
While I was impressed by it's ability to locate studs through 1/2 plywood, I was disappointed that its accuracy left something to be desired. I was mounting brackets that required staggered screws in stud and missed the stud with first screw. Upon testing discovered that the center was actually 1/4 inch off. Also, the button to calibrate is in a bad location, right where it seems most comfortable to hold while using. Now that I know to compensate for the center error, I will keep it because it is more sensitive than my old one.

Life saver
Easy to use. I don't build anything but was able to find the studs and hang my son’s tv. It’s been three months and it hasn't fell yet. Lol

A Very Flaky Device
Very disappointed. The live wire sensor is giving erratic readings and seems to give false positives depending on how I hold the device. Sometimes, if I hold it by the rubber grips on the side the live wire warning stays lit. If I hold in near the top the live wire warning turns off. It also lights up when sliding across the wall and when I stop it turns off. Static electricity, maybe? Hard to say for sure but after an hour or more of testing it in various circumstances I can't determine why it's malfunctioning. The stud finder is also quite flaky. Sometimes it finds the stud's center, sometimes it won't find the stud at all. I've calibrated it according to the instructions and it's not working properly. It's detection rate seems very slow, as well. You need to slide it very slowly.I do not trust this device nor do I have time to return it so I guess I'll toss it in the garbage and stop taking risk on cheap tools.
