These platic emboidery hoops are much better than the common bamboo ones you find everywhere. First of all, I love the colors! Then they are more sturdy and much easier to tighten. Also, the fabric is tightly fit in the hoop with less effort and stays that way while you embroider. There is no need to keep pulling the fabric into place as you work. I won't use any other type of hoop now that I have found these. Five stars
