These are about the same price as cheaper metals but never corrode.

I ordered and received two (2) stainless steel 3/4" threaded pipe caps. The caps appear to be manufactured correctly, however, the pipe taper threads on some of the stainless steel pipe nipples are not machined long enough to engage the threaded taper on the caps (see photo). A soft circular insert was provided w/ ea. SS cap (intended as a gasket sealing surface similar to a garden hose gasket although not certain?).

The S hedule 80 plastic caps were $41.00 each, I got 2 stainless steel ones for $8. Used in a commercial dish washing machine. Fits perfect and will outlast me!
