Soft and strong
The media could not be loaded. These ropes are soft feel which work great for our playset on the kiddos hands. The rope has been up for about a year now and has not tethered or become unraveled at all. Its a great assist for our rock wall.

Great product
After looking at prices for a piece of rope from China, and not knowing what chemicals they may have used on them, I decided to buy US made rope. I bought 25ft of 100% cotton rope, that I could cut into lengths as needed for fraction of the price in the pet stores, and I have the peace of mind that it wont make my dogs sick.

But life goes on and I suddenly realised that if I could get some nice, soft rope
It has been over 40 years since I last made an eye splice or whipped the end of a rope. And that rope from 40 years ago was only one half inch rather than one inch. But life goes on and I suddenly realised that if I could get some nice, soft rope, I could make an assistive device using my old skills. When I received my order, I was a little intimidated. Intellectually, I knew that one inch rope has double the diameter of one half inch rope... but wow, seeing it in front of me, it sure looked huge! After I got over my surprise, I picked it up and oh, what a pleasure. It really is soft, no rubbishy bits to be found in the cotton and the plies are spun very evenly. The coil of rope came neatly tied with a length of what I think is quarter inch cotton rope, so I used that as a rehearsal piece. I did the sailmaker's whipping and then set in my eye splice. Both went in easily and it was like doing it woke up my memory and I suddenly remembered all the little tricks to make them easy. And then it was time to tackle the big rope. It turned out to be the perfect combination of firm enough twist to be long lasting but just soft enough to manipulate to weave the plies for the eye splice and to pass my needle between the plies for my sailmaker's whipping. When I was done, it looked right and, more importantly, it functioned the way I needed it to for my assistive device. This rope was easy and pleasant to work with. Obviously good quality cotton went into it. I'll be ordering again.

Great quality rope to make mini-horse sized lead ropes! Cheaper, and better suited to their small size.
This is high quality rope. The company sent the exact length I ordered, in the color and thickness I ordered, and the order arrived promptly. I am using the rope to create my own lead ropes for mini horses. Most equine lead ropes on the market today are heavy, thick ropes with heavy, thick hardware on them. They are suitable for full size horses, and cattle. Using them on mini horses isn't really fair, as the lead ropes/hardware combination has a lot of weight that the horse has to continue to lift up to keep his head upright. This is especially true when working with younger minis. I purchased lighter gauge hardware, and am using a smaller diameter Natural Twisted Cotton rope to assemble my own lighter-weight lead lines of varying lengths. The cotton rope is soft, so there is little risk of rope burns if a mini were to spook and pull away. It is pliable, so it is easy to handle while doing ground work exercises with my little equines. The added bonus is that this diameter rope fits better in my medium sized ladies hands. I'm not a large woman, and most lead ropes these days are so thick that I don't find it easy to double up the extra rope in my hands. It takes only a few minutes to assemble a lead rope. Even with buying the components retail, each rope I made was less expensive than buying lead ropes retail, and the weight and size of each of them is much better suited to my purposes. Great quality rope!

Meh
Ropes are nice quality and seem sturdy but as far as "assortment" goes, I'd beg to differ. There are 9 ropes in my box 5 of which are pink (I absolutely hate the color pink) two white, one purple multi and a lime green. The two white ones are the same thickness, three of the pink and the lime are the same thickness and the remaining two pink are the same thickness. I was hoping to make leads and collars for my dog's but the size I would have used? You guessed it, pink. I have a boy, while he doesn't care, I do. I have a girl too but again, ugh to pink. Overall I'm not impressed and would not risk buying an "assortment" box again since it really isn't assorted. The box shown in the picture also looks larger with way more rope than the one I received and of course it looked like there was a much better assortment.
