It Actually Works - but you must understand what you are buying
My 1/2 acre pond has been perpetually covered in duckweed since we purchased the property. After reading a lot of material, this was the first product I bought to try and clear it up. I applied it in the late spring after the pond was already covered with duckweed by mixing it in a sprayer, and wading out in rubber boots a few feet from the shore. I sprayed just under the surface, trying to walk and cover the largest area I could. After a month, I was preparing to come back here and say the product didn't work at all. The duckweed appeared to change color, but was still present on the water. After a very dry year, we finally got a rainfall and that churn of the water made all the dead duckweed sink, and we had a perfectly clear pond the rest of the year and through the fall and winter! I mention this, because some reviewers seem to think that you can spray this in the water, and all organic material will magically disappear in a week. That's not the case. You need to apply early, or be prepared to wait for results. This year I'm going to apply it earlier in the spring as a preventive measure. Yes, the price is eye-watering, but I've decided if it costs $200 a year to have a clear pond, it's worth it to me.

This worked for my pond.
It took about a month to see results but it did kill the water lilies. Worth the money.

Delayed results but worked great!
I believe that I read somewhere in the product details that you should see results in about 2 weeks. Well at the 2 week point I was a little worried that I had been bamboozled buying this product because there wasn't any significant change. However right around week 3 I started seeing a big difference in the submerged grass in my pond. It's now been 5 weeks and all the grass in my pond is dead so I am more than happy with the results of this product. One side note, I have a fair amount of cattails around the pond and many of them are turning white. They don't look dead at the point but possibly really stressed.

I did nearly nothing at all.
I normally have my pond treated but the cost has gotten past my budget.Last year I bought from a company called 'Lake Restore'. It worked well but there was a lot of work involved. When I read about this it seemed too good to be true. It was.The contents was like a paste in a tiny bottle. I used a 5 gallon bucket and mixed it using a hose to get the paste out. It mixed to a calf milk white and I made 6 batches to throw into the pond in about 12 spots. My pond is 60 foot diameter so the amount was nearly exactly what was called for. After a week, it said you should start to see results.....NothingTwo weeks....nothingOne month....nothing.This was a very, very expensive mistake on my part. I need to listen to my gut more.
