Microwave was operating, but not heating. After reading and watching videos online, at first I replaced the diode, but it didn't fix it. The old magnetron didn't test bad using the multimeter, but it was bad nonetheless. Many online parts stores wanted several times the cost of this one. Got this one installed and everything is working again.

My 8 years old Breville microwave had finally got no heat. I was initially planned to throw it away and buy another one. After shopping online for the same model, it's now cost $800 (so $200 more than 8 years ago). I decided to repair it.Long story short, I found and replaced the bad magnetron and it works. (FYI, Breville microwave use Toshiba magnetron) see the attached picture.Cost me around $60. I also replaced its fuse and diode also because they're cheap.As of today, the microwave is still running good for 3 months now, same power, same performance.A happy ending.🙂

It was going to be a week wait for repairman. And a 260 “diagnosis” fee. It was so easy to repair my 2 year old microwave. It had started making a loud buzzing sound and not hearing the food. First culprit is the magnetron. Tested the old one with my volt meter. Continuance and resistance. You should get continuance between prongs, not prongs and case. My was bad. Replaced with this exact model part for part. Tested new one and of course it was good. Saved my family a couple hundred dollars and it was so easy to fix.

Was exactly what was wrong with my GE Profile Microwave.Had to slightly tweak the mounting bracket with pliers to align the predrilled holes... but other than that, plug and play.

Shocked that the magnetron only worked for 1 week.
