This was a birthday present and the recipient loved it.

Received this and it will do what it needs to do as far as holding my magnetic craft board for my patterns for cross-stitch and crocheting. I did have a good chuckle when it said to use the enclosed finger guard for pushing in the buttons. I like the idea and that works well. BUT when it says to change the C legs at the SAME time, where is the finger guard for the other second hand? Only one finger guard is included.The side attachment for the mouse is ok but I won't be using it unless I find a way to utilize it for my needlework. The legs are also ok but not necessarily the sturdiest, even though I am only putting a magnetic board and paper patterns on it. Will see how it holds up. My old one was a lot sturdier than this new one. I gave this four stars just because it does not totally match up to the quality of my old lap tray, which I don't know what brand it was.When the package arrived, I happened to be outside at the time. The delivery man handed it to me and stated that he hoped it was ok because the package was in pretty sorry state. There was obvious damage to the package, and it didn't happen in delivery. It also had lots of tape all over it, so it came from the seller like that. Fortunately, the lap tray was unscathed.

Just receive this stand and absolutely love it. I can adjust it to any height I want and whatever angle I need. It's a little wobbly but it is just sitting on the couch cushion. Even on top of a table it is very minimal. The mouse pad is sturdy enough as well even though I don't use a mouse. Loving it!

As described. Very versatile, so many adjustable variations, I use it while setting in chair and while setting on my bed. I do wish it has venting holes to keep computer cool without worry of laptop overheating. The mouse attachment is a nice feature but, I would suggest a piece of cloth or mouse pad to keep mouse on removable mouse table, an extra feature. Overall, I like it, it is very sturdy, easy to use buttons to adjust to many positions. I will recommend.

While this is well made, it didn't fit my needs like I thought. I was hoping to use it to place a projector on for my karaoke shows. The small the unit , the more sturdy, but I needed it to be extended which meant it wasn't sturdy and I had to take it down. I did not ask for a refund and I believe my time has passed. as far as a lap board for typing in bed. I'm sure it would be fine (once it's adjusted.

As a designer, it irks me to see poor design in everyday objects. When I first saw this advertised on CBS Deals, I thought that's exactly what I need as health reasons have forced me to work on my laptop a lot in bed. 1) The stand is not well balanced because the feet are too narrow; they need to be broader to offer stability and handle the weight of a laptop on a bed or any surface. The weight of the laptop as well as your hands as you rest on the laptop will cause the stand to tip forward if you have the platform at an angle. 2) Any bed surface will be too soft for this contraption to sit securely on. 3) It is rickety, feels cheaply made, and unsecured. 4) The platform needs vent holes so the laptop doesn't get too hot. 5) They should have a feature on the platform edge to make it comfortable for your wrists to rest on when typing. It just has a hard edge that digs into your wrists and leaves marks. 6) The detachable plate to rest your mouse on is unusable and ridiculously cheaply made. The one that came with mine angles downward so the mouse slid right off. I had to use clamps and wrenches to straighten the angle of the plate so it would be level with the platform. (Insert eye roll) 7) There should be a lip all the way around the platform in case the stand tips (and it will) so there is some added protection against the laptop sliding off the edge of the platform. Terrible quality and not at all what I was hoping for. I wish I could return it but I live internationally and it would cost me more to ship it back. What a waste.

Took me a while to figure out what direction it would go and how high I wanted it. The adjustment is really good for comfort for the hands to type.

I use this for a heavier laptop that fills the entire top of the stand. I absolutely love it. On a hard surface it is super sturdy. There are 2 reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5...the height adjustment can be a bit difficult (especially if you have fingernails at all) because you hold the button in and move the leg. For someone like me, with fingernails and joint issues, it's tedious. I just leave it where I need it. Reason 2...with my laptop (heavy and uneavenly weighted), it becomes difficult to use on a chair/couch/bed because it flops easily. Once adjusted, if you need to move and set it down, it flops again.
