It does light up! The effect is not quite like the travel vortex/event horizon but it'll do!It arrived a couple of days early and the packaging was very good, completely encased in 2 polystyrene bricks.The finishing on the details could be better. And I'd prefer it in metal/silver/grey color like in Stargate. But it will do! Quite happy with it.

The media could not be loaded.  First off I painted the edges of mine. It looks terrible out of the box. Not painted except some random gold and red with no attention to detail.The second flaw is the mirror is not very clear as you can see. Its not even glass they used a mirror film they have curvitures in them and dont show a right reflection.Other than that if it didn't have this issue it would have been the best decoartion I own.
