Much better than cream. Always liked King of Shaves very much. Feels terrific, allows you to see where you've shaved/missed, and provides clean, close shave. Treat yourself.

I think my shave routine is an international affair. My cream and brush are Italian, my blades Russian, my handle Chinese, and this, my pre-shaving oil, is British. For some reason the Brits just know how to make a quality shave oil. This is the second brand I've had from England and both were great. Infinitely better than the popular US-made Shave Secret that seemed to make it more difficult to shave smoothly. Like I said above, I use mine as a pre-shave, but my son uses it only for shaving. Either way works great.

I have to say that in my near 40 years of shaving, this oil has given me the closest shave with my electric razor. I have a Pansonic 5 bladed electric razor and I shave over the sink (no longer in the shower). I've used other oils, Lectric Shave pre-shave, shaving powder sticks and even plain body soap (for when I used to shave in the shower) but this stuff really works. I didn't want to believe the reviews but it's true. I inherited by dad's facial hair (grows really close to the skin, not sticking out at all with the occasional ingrown hair). This oil really seemed to allow the blades to cut my facial hair as close as possible without irritating my skin at all. I used a total of about 5 drops to shave my facial hair. I rub it in as thoroughly as possible and wait a minute before shaving. It took about a week (3 shaves total) to get the hang of it, but I get the most amazing shaves and my skin is soft and smooth. The oil itself is not totally scent free. You can smell just a hint of the tee tree oil but I shower after I shave so there is no scent on my face at all (which I really prefer). My skin doesn't feel irritated afterward and cleanup of the razor is pretty quick (although I have to be a little more thorough since I'm getting more hair and I use very little oil, it seems to clump/stick underneath the outer foil more; but not much more than Lectric shave). I've also noticed my razor head doesn't smell as much (if at all) the next day. It cleans up really well. I found it by accident and thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. Next time I'll order the 30 ml advanced oil since I use a little more oil on my face than recommended. If you're not getting a close shave with your electric razor, don't hesitate to try this product. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised once you get used to using it. It is a little pricey for the amount you receive but well worth it. For 50% more, you can get the advanced version that is double the size of this version and that should last me for about 9/10 months with my current shaving regiment. I highly recommend this product for shaving.....

I used King's shaving oil in the UK for several years before I came to the US ten years ago and it was a revelation in the way I shaved - no more razor burn, no more foams, no more soaps, just a simple oil which lets the razor glide over your skin while shaving you close and moisturizing your skin. Just found it again here in the US so can stop having it shipped over from home. Once tried, you will never shave any other way.

It gave me a smooth shave with no nicks or cuts. Smells good and leaves your skin feeling soft. I shave my head and face and this barely lasted me 2 weeks. I can get just as close with a 2 dollar can of barbasol. The oil makes cleaning the hair from your razor extremely difficult.

Fantastic product, and it lasts forever. Must-have for long-term travelers, though I use it at home, as well. Three drops will provide a shave smoother than canned shaving cream. Extremely compact -- well within airline allowances for carry-on liquids. I took this on a five-week trip to Central America, where I shaved every few days. Upon returning, I noticed that I had used perhaps 1/10th of the contents. This product is amazing. I've recommended it to several friends and they all rave about it.

I am going on a backpacking trip and I was looking for a more compact and ultralite option to shaving cream and brush. This fits the needs of my light beard. Wetting my face and applying a couple drops to my cheek allowed me to very closely shave that area and rinse clean with a bit of soap. If you have dry skin you would likely be ok to just leave it on since it's a pretty lite oil. I'm not sure about the container though, since that packaging and Ziploc bag it was inside of were pretty oily when it arrived. It will stay inside a ziplock bag when it is in my backpack.

This is a good product. It soothes the skin, smells fresh but not overpowering, and it makes shaving much less irritating. But there are other products with similar qualities that, when bought in larger sizes, are just as good and a fair bit less per ounce. That said, this is the perfect size for travel and that is why I bought it and I will probably buy it again ... for travel. For daily use I will continue to use less expensive options.

Have used this product for many years. It is an excellent product that is even effective for a wet shave with cold water. Takes up so little space in a travel bag too. Recommended.

何故かヒゲ部分だけ肌が弱い為色々海外のものも含めシェービングフォーム、シェービングジェルなど試しましたがなかなか満足いくものに出会えずこちらを試してみました 剃り心地はフォームに比べるとこのオイル単体ではひっかかり感があるので、まずオイルを下地に塗ってからフォームを少量重ねて剃っています。 剃って軽く流した後に、フォームやジェルと差が出ます オイル分がしっかり潤いを残してくれている感があります ベタツキが苦手な人には合わないかもしれませんが… 今のところ肌のトラブルもなく使用できています

Great oil, I thought 3 drops wouldn't be enough, but it was! The scent is also good, a bit of mint shines through. Razor glides perfectly with this oil, a lot better than shaving cream.
