Very happy with my purchase!
I've been looking for a beginner acoustic-electric guitar and read a bunch of reviews of various ones. This one seemed like the best fit and so happy I went with this guitar. It arrived in perfect condition and even earlier than expected. I've been playing it every day and can't wait to pick it up every time. I highly recommend it!

Feeling bittersweet and disappointed
To start this was the Fender guitar I wanted since it came out, I finally decided to go for it and get it. Now I wish I hadn't and just kept it as one of those dreams of what you wish you had but could still dream of how great it would be. I purchased my guitar and when it arrived the box having a hole the size of a basketball should have been an omen of things to come. But I got it opened it up and she was beautiful. I quickly tuned her wanting to play with it. Then I plugged it in to my mini amp I mean why not it had a pickup system I wanted to hear it, never had an acoustic guitar with electrics on it only the stratocaster. But the pickup didn't work, nothing came thru my amp pickup not lighting up 0. went on here and was shunted to Fender by the contact page. That's when my oops something is wrong went to what the heck did I buy. Long story short I spent 20 day's and 14 emails to Fender, 1 to Fishman (the company that produces the pickup) the fisman people were nice but said contact the store where purchased or fender as the pickup is proprietary so they can't sell me a different one or do anything, and lastly I got on here and did some online searching to find the store I purchased it from since Amazon sold it to me but they weren't the seller so they didn't help me. Again 20 days and one guy at fender told me probably my amp so yea I spent 100.00 on a Front man 20G to find the same thing I already knew it didn't work, 2 Fender employees told me it sounds like my guitar was functioning perfectly, when the local guitar shop confirmed defective pickup not to touch it that it was a warranty or exchange job. So I finally got in touch with the store who actually sold it to me. After a little while I was able to return it for an exchange on or around the 20 day mark. So since my box was damaged on arrival I spent ~20 bucks to return it in a different box and I waited. When the replacement arrived it's pickup did at last work, but the replacement it's a blemished model, big dull spot under the bridge where it looked to be rubbed a tennis ball sized dull spot in the satin finish. And the back I don't know the first one had the wood grain all lined up and straight like it's pictured, this one the wood grains are off cuts so you can see where the 2 pieces were fitted together as the wood grain instead of being long grains and parallel it's at an angle where you can see lines at an angle and then they disappear as it collides into the other sides opposite direction grains doing this same thing. So yea 2 guitars both with issues, customer service nightmare, and the icing on the cake it's 30 days since purchase so I can't return it for a refund to go elsewhere. I feel completely slow rolled and stuck. This was my first, and I believe my last Fender guitar. Maybe next time Gibson or Gretch and we'll different store to hopefully get a better product, I just don't know what else to do. All I do know is I need to quit with the migranes and crying over this utter mess. Want a Guitar buy local, lesson learned.. costly lesson on my part (couldn't happen with a Squire cheap and you can run them into the ground and plug them back in for another round). So yea very unhappy 🤯.

I own one
its a really nice guitar right out of the box. its smaller but doesn't feel small kinda feels like a strat style neck. for craftsman ship its a well built guitar although some of the finish at the neck joint was kinda cracking off or something, but it doesn' t effect it in anyway that I can tell so far and I've had my malibu cutaway since 2010. the onboard tuner and electronics are really good they sound really good through the p.a. at the church I go to. mine is strung up with size 9 strangs. its easy on the back for long playing sessions. thanks for reading and God bless.-pc

The gig bag is way to small.
Plan on buying a decent case, or returning the entire package.
