Really ornate, beautiful. Haven't used them yet. They are a bit heavy but many women with medium to thick hair look for stable hair ornaments. My hair is fine. If they are too heavy, my family of ladies will love them! Great gifts.

I thought these hair combs were made of the usual plastic. They are, however, made of metal and as a consequence, are too heavy to stay in my hair. I think they might work for people with very thick hair, but they continue to slide out of mine. I'd also like to know what type of metal they used to manufacture them.

I have long hair and like to pin it up in the summer. With these, I can put my hair in a pony tail, twist it and pin it up. It also works great for a French twist. The three different sizes allows you to use it for different styles as well

My hair is too thin or fine for these combs. They don't stay in my hair, sadly. They may work well on someone with a beautiful, thick head of long hair. I don't think it's fair to give a bad review because of MY hair. They are nice, solid combs.

I have a lot of waist length hair, though it’s not thick. I have a serially horrible time finding clips that are big enough AND stay in my hair, it’s usually one or the other. For a while, I used hair sticks and pens at work, sometimes clean plastic silverware from the break room. Since I got these, I’ve been able to put my hair up and in different (but simple, I’m still learning) styles without having to use anything weird or keep adjusting it throughout the day! I can sleep in it, wear it to work, do manual labor, go to church, work meetings, go grocery shopping, and relax at home with them! They’re so comfortable I sometimes forget I have them in, and I plan to order more in the near future!

These are really to heavy to stay in your hair. I have fine hair and they fell out. My daughters have thick hair and curly they fell out just to heavy to stay in.

This along with the silicone hair tie makes it very easy to do a French roll in my hair for an easy updo on the daily.
