Get Simple
If you want a guide to simplifying that panders to your feelings then this is not the book for you. If you want a book that kicks you in the pants and sets your on the journey you know you need, then this will be a good investment in a simplified future.

Good principles and encouragement; short on depth
An entertaining fast read, with a number of good basic principles for simplifying your life. Simple ideas and not really much depth on how to implement. Dealing with our partners and kids should definitely been discussed in more depth - if he doesn’t have either, certainly he knows people who do. I took away one star for the focus on living off the grid which took up too many pages of a very short book AND for the chapter on disengaging from politics, which I think is the last thing our country needs, even more disengaged voters.

GOOD BOOK!!
This book is very positive and covers different topics to help you cope with the world. I will read other books by this author.

Just Another Dust Collector
While the author seems to have the experience to come from a place of authority, the book read as very know-it-all-y and not helpful. His judgemental and narrow-minded tone does not help the audience as a whole; maybe not even those he fails to alienate. I read the whole thing and the only useful tidbit I gleaned from it was writing down object-associated memories in a journal and taking a picture of said objects so you could get rid of them. For that reason and that reason alone, I won't count this book as a total waste of time and money. I won't, however, be purchasing his other books that he shamelessly plugged throughout.

If the price was $10 I’d tell everyone to get it.
It’s a simple read that’s really all I can say. There are points in the book that make you say “yeah obviously” but there are other points that make you go “ok didn’t think of it like that”. I like how Collins goes into different aspects of our lives to help declutter. With that being said I think the book is short and definitely could have gone deeper in some chapters. Overall I like the book and am getting another one.
