Ill be honest. Its my first time attempting to actually keep aquatic plants alive for longer than a couple of weeks and i fell down such a big rabbit hole i didn't know where to start. I started here because this substrate didn't require anything else to be done, you chuck it in and you're good to go. I took careful measure to fill the water using the cup method to prevent creating a giant dust cloud or turning my water brown, and it seemed to do the trick. i was left with a little dust and some brown colouration but i just did a small water change and it fixed the issue. This substrate is a little more on the expensive side and i found that as long as you don't mind a little extra work, the fluval aquatic soil is cheaper and basically the same thing, however you do need to rinse the fluval one and you need to do so with extreme care otherwise you will get brown soup. Overall this is not bad at all if you can afford it and want the convenience.

Très bien les plantes sont en excellente santé dans mon nano aquarium et le fond est toujours propre sans avoir besoin de nettoyer le substrat.

Stem plants (Rotala willissi and Rotala rotundafolia) are growing well with Tropica soil, CO2, and LED lights. Monte Carlo all melted, but I think that was from a old batch of 1-2 Grow that had melted roots before planting. No clouding of water, but you need to use care filling the tank. I put a flat plastic bag in the tank before filling.

Nehmen wir für unsere Nano Becken. Die Pflanzen wachsen sehr schön nach... Einfach ins Becken, ohne vorher auszuspülen. Sind sehr zufrieden.

i think just as similar to the fluval shrimp substrate or better.
