Works great and super fine grain to mix! I mad e a new mix and use orchid bark, charcoal, and fox farm soil for my plants. My plants are *thriving*. It’s probably a combination of all 3 and I was holding my breath that I’d kill them but they’re rocking it. This charcoal is the perfect additive.

Excellent additive for raised beds.

This 30-lb biochar was not dusty and the granules were easy to mix with ingredients to charge it. Per another reviewer, it is much easier to use than crushing natural charcoal briquettes or creating biochar from scratch. Many online sources and YouTube videos explain how to innoculate raw biochar like this. I used a large galvanized tub and mixed the entire bag with humic acid, Azomite, kelp, a 25-quart bag of worm castings, flour, molasses and filtered water. Some people use compost, liquid fertilizers, fish emulsion, etc. Anyway, the slurry sat for two weeks to charge up.

This would be great as biochar for a nutrient- and microbe-holding soil additive. The particles look perfectly uniformly sifted to about 1mm. Would have honestly liked some variety of irregular sizes for more soil structure. I liked Harris brand better in that regard. Made in California.

Excellent consistency, fair priced. There’s a noticeable difference in overall plant development when not using this product. Combined with humic acid and other nutrients and microorganisms to charge it will nearly double your yield.
