How can you run the wire through the cabin of the boat without having to drill a big hole? Would probably need to splice the wire?

You only need a hole the size of the wire. You then install the connector on the wire at the radio.

Is the connector already on the coaxed cable

Yes it is. I hat to remove it to fish the wire through my T-top then reconnect it when finished. It is very east to re-install much like the end on a TV cable.
