Easy to install, strong and sturdy
This has been installed for quite a while now and still working well. It is used to keep my front gate shut as some people did not shut it when leaving the property. It was easy to install as per the instructions. I have a latch on the front gate and it gets latched nicely as the gate swings back after opening. There are times when you want the gate to stay open for a delivery so you will need to fit a little hook attached to something nearby to keep it open temporarily. That means a small fitting needs to be installed on the gate to receive the hook. The quality of the product is strong and sturdy. The spring action is adjustable and works well.

Not the length advertised !
This spring is not 14 inches. Even including the brackets it is less than 14 inches. My new gate is going to be very heavy and I’m concerned the spring may not be strong enough. Not worth the time or effort to return it.

Easy to install, good quality.
Perfect. Easy to install (although I’d watch a one minute YouTube video instead of the directions in the box as they’re not super clear.) Spring is sturdy, screws and fixings are heavy duty. Works perfect. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Well made and easy to fit
Well made and easy to fit. My gate kept blowing open in stone northerly winds. This simple solution keeps it shut. You can adjust the tension so it stays closed but doesn't slam shut every time. Loved how easy it was to fit, wish I had thought of it sooner.

Does what it is intended to do.
Works well on closing my gate when my kids constantly left it open, watched a YouTube video on how to properly install it as the instructions were not that clear to me, but other than that does what it is intended to do so all good. Easy installation, took less than 5 minutes.

Does the job
Pretty straightforward & does the job, but the holding pins that maximise the tension tend to fall out, so make sure you keep the spare (provided) in a safe place!

Good gate spring but I returned it as too small for what I needed.
