Office Chair Tilt Mechanism Replacement, Tilt Control Mechanism 10.2"×6"(L×W)

I bought this because I was trying to replace the gas cylinder that was stuck to the original tilt mechanism. After days of struggle, I thought replacing the entire tilt mechanism might work. It did. This tilt mechanism fit perfectly with perfect alignment. I was able to install a new gas lift cylinder to this part and now I have a "brand new" chair for the fraction of the cost. This is much sturdier than the original part on my gaming chair. Between the new gas lift and new tilt mechanism, my chair should outlast me!

This is rated for 450 lb, but I am less than 250 lb and only used this chair one or two days a week. The chair started tilting to the left and it was because the metal bent on this tilt mechanism. Very poor build quality.

I bought this to replace a tilt mechanism (a replacement itself) that the metal had cracked badly and the tilt tension spring had broken off. No problem installing this one; it tilts easily and a little farther back than others I've had. I didn't buy a heavier duty one because I figure I shouldn't need it weighing 180 lbs. But since I broke two of them already, I'm not going to give this 5 stars since I don't know how it will hold up for the long haul.

Part came in on time and was exactly what it said it was. Replaced the broken base perfectly. New chair for the 10th of the price! Thanks.
