The light gets a 5, the mounting system a 3...
The light is plenty bright for night riding, and has several different adjustments so you can choose a balance between battery life and brightness. The mounting system, though, is pretty primitive. The light attaches directly to the handle bar, and there is no quick release mechanism which allows you to remove it and take it with you. The battery pack is hard-wired to the light, which means that you must leave the entire assembly on the bicycle. I would like to be able to at least unplug the batteries, so I don't have to store them in the hot garage in the summer (which reduces battery life). It would be handy to have some sort of quick-release system, so I don't have to leave my bicycle light attached at all times. If you don't mind leaving the light on the bicycle 24 X 7, then this may suit your needs. I plan to modify my light so that the battery pack can be unplugged from the light. This is an easy enough fix (in theory), and will make the whole arrangement work out to my satisfaction. I'm not sure why the manufacturer did not design the unit this way, 'cause it seems pretty obvious to me.

Bright and cheap, but bad power button
Just bought it new from amazon. It was ideal luminosity for commuting and price was great too, but the power button is difficult to press. It's pretty flat and doesn't have a good "click" / depression feel. It's not possible to press the button when wearing gloves or mittens (winter bike riding) and I'd have to expose my hands to the freezing temps to turn the light on. Also, the power button stopped working the first day out of the box. It took 10-20 presses before the light would turn on, and many more before it would turn off. I imagine I just got one from a bad batch, because Princeton Tec usually makes quality lights, so I returned the bad one and I'm awaiting a warranty replacement.

Princeton tec Corona Light
Bright light but not well designed for easy on/off the bike. The battery pack cannot be disconnected from the light meaning you have to lug around the battery pack all the time or take the whole light and battery pack off teh bike and put it back on all the time. Also, the handlebar attachment for the light has a tightening knob that is very small and hard to get a grip in to tighten. However, the light it puts out is pretty nice.

Bright enough for trail use
I am pleasantly surprised by how well this thing lights up the trail. I attached mine to the handlebars, but it also can be mounted on a helmet. It mounts securely and seems to be able to take the beating these desert trails dish out.

Great light - I've had several and they really put out a lot of light. And with the battery pack it has long battery life.

Wayyyy brighter and better than expected
I never write reviews, but this thing is purely American engineering... durable, bright, and simple. Well worth the money. And a lifetime warranty to boot!

I have used these regularly for many years
I purchased two of these lights several years ago. They still work flawlessly. I love this form factor. I mountain bike with one on the handle bar and one on my helmet. Works great for my style of riding. These were a great purchase. I use them as loaner lights for buddy's that come ride with me. I have recently upgraded to the Princeton tec SNAP. I fully expect these lights to last several more years.
