Missing welds on the mount to even fasten it together, so it has to sit on the ground which was disappointing. The pump doesn't stay affixed to the bottom and poorly performs, even in direct sunlight. Basically the only part I can use is the plastic dish to be an overpriced water bowl on the ground.

I would give this a 5 out of 10, several reasons, the directions that came with it said plug this into this and this into this, there are no plugs at all on this unit, oviously these are the wrong directions, it definitely needs to be in the direct harsh sunlight, if any clouds at all cover the sun, or unit is in the shade, it stops working, or barely pump water, a solar cell on a long cable might be a better option, p.s. added after using, has 3 tiny suction to hold it to the bottom, they do not adhere to the bottom at all, so it gives way and tills sideways, pumping the water out of the tray, good idea but not functional, I have multiple hummingbird at my feeder close by, not one hummingbird has demonstrated any interests in the bath and water, so buyer do your homework

When it works, it’s a very nice bird bath. However the little stick that shoots water out is not permanently connected so if you loose it; doesn’t work the same again.

We tried to put it in our outdoor aviary , did not work at all . It takes forever to get charged then poorly works .. would not regiment it .

Due to the design and curvature of the bird bath the pump will not reach the bottom to use the suction cups. Another issue is the sun has to be hitting the bird bath directly and bright for the fountain to do more than just dribble out. When the fountain actually does work, you lose most of your water because it is floating near the edges instead of being suctioned at the bottom middle of the bath.

The basic idea of this product is a good one, but it doesn't live up to what it leads the buyer to believe it will do. The solar unit does not adhere to the bottom of the birdbath as the instructions tell you to do as you assemble it. The birdbath is too shallow and too small in diameter to hold enough water to keep the fountain running. Because the solar unit floats around rather than sticking to the bottom, it sprays all of the water out of the bath very quickly, leaving too little water to run. I wish it worked better. It's a great idea.

The pump does not work.. also you have to extend the extension feeder pipe underneath.. So it will stick to bottom of tray.. Not happy at all. I should have read the reviews
