I needed to make a plenum for a small unit. Further, I needed someway to change out filters…but I didn’t want the hinge to be too stiff, but I also didn’t want the door slamming your fingers.This hinge is absolutely perfect for the task. the flap is tight enough that there is no air leak around the flap (would make a whistle), but you can raise the flap with a pinky. Given the quality of this hinge, I can think of a thousand uses for it. If you need a well crafted, attractive piano hinge that doesn’t damage or get out of whack easily…this is for you.

Very well made & great price. Made a TV lift for our shuttle, so we needed these for the lid that rises with the TV. Worked perfect for our project. We have used so many items needed from Amazon for our shuttle built. They never seem to disappoint. Always have what we need. thank you Amazon!

These hinges are sturdy and will work well for my application. But this seems like it was cut from a larger hinge because one end has burrs on it and I had to file it down. It also has fine tooling marks and scratches all over that can be seen if up close.

Most piano hinges I've purchased are flimsy. This one is very solid. Used for a door in a turning compost barrel. I have no fear of it faiiling. I did file the corners down a bit as they are pretty sharp. Would buy again.

The stainless piano hinges are of good quality and appear to work great. I think they will work very well on the project I am working on.
