Nice hiking pants
I purchased 4 of these to try on. Bottom line I kept the Sage x-small only. 5'4", 110 lbs. Also note that I don't have a butt (hips 34-35") and my thighs are thin (18-19" at widest). I ordered the Navy (suppose to be polyester) and the Sage (nylon) to see which material and fit I liked. Sage xsmall and small were indeed Nylon material and the xsmall fit great with room to expand in the elastic waist. Size small in Sage Nylon was too big in butt area and also the waist had too much room that when I added my phone and put my hands in my pocket they sagged. The legs were perfect in the xsmall for me but if you have large thighs you will not like them as they will be constricting. The Navy pants ... xsmall came in polyester and I preferred the material but it ran small. It was snug and I felt like the waist would be uncomfortable over time. The small however was in the Nylon material and like the small Sage it was too big. In my opinion, I liked the feel of the polyester material. The Navy pants were the only ones that came in Polyester. Some people said these pants were long. NOPE! they fit perfect in the length (both the xs and small). Some people said the nylon material made a noise. NOT exactly...they are not loud or make a distinct sound but the material is like the nylon parachute material. Don't know about durability since I haven't worn them hiking yet. I hope to update once I have worn them. Update. I wore these during a camping trip. They were used for several days. They were comfortable. I love them. The zippers worked wonderfully. Had no issue zipping them or unzipping the shorts while I had the pants on me. I washed the hiking pants and they seem to wash well. Overall Very happy with my purchase.

New Favorite Hiking Pants
I absolutely love these pants! I’ve been hiking and backpacking a lot more this summer and I get hot very easily so I usually wear shorts and pack a pair of pants, but with backpacking every ounce of weight counts so these are a total game changer. The material is thin enough to keep me cool but sturdy enough that it doesn’t tear when I’m in the backcountry running into overgrown trails and such. Zipping the legs off to make them into shorts is super fast and easy and the bottoms are wide enough that I can slip them over my shoes. I love the drawstring at the bottom, it allows me to make them more like joggers and I just tuck the cord up into the pant leg so it doesn’t get caught on anything. The length of the shorts is perfect, not too long and not too short. When camping overnight I put on my base layer and slip these over my other pants for added warmth and to keep my base layer dry. I originally ordered an XL and an XXL because I wasn’t sure which size would fit better. The XL fit well and I was going to keep them but I prefer my pants to be on the looser side so I ended up keeping the XXL instead. I’m 5’5” and about 200lbs and they’re incredibly comfortable. Overall I can’t find a single thing I don’t like about these pants. Highly recommend!!

Really nice but way too long
Like the way these fit and all the zips and pockets. Wanted to love them for an up-coming trip but they are about 8" too long for my 5'1" frame. Because of the cool way you can tighten them at the ankle, I thought they might still work but they just looked ridiculous, like clown pants. So I'm sure if you are of a more generous height, these would be great. For me, they are going back. To give you an idea of sizing, I usually wear a size 16 or 16W in pants because of my thick waist. These XXL fit perfectly around the waist and hips.

So far So Good
I must have ordered 8 different brands of hiking pants and this was the only pair that fit me. I'm a small size 2 and I ended up with these in XXS. They fit perfectly! All the other hiking pants I tried were way too baggy or way too long in the crotch. I've read reviews where people complain about a swishing noise when you walk around in these pants but that hasn't been my experience. They are very light and comfortable. They also look very nice with an expandable hiking belt. I only wish these weren't high waisted but aside from that, they are perfect. I bought two pair and plan to get a third.

Great hiking pants but run a bit large
I ordered these convertible hiking pants primarily for hiking and playing disc golf. I love the number and layout of all of the pockets - I can easily fit my phone in any pocket and with several zippered pockets I am not worried about losing it during a steep hike. The material is comfortable with a bit of stretch and seems like it will dry very easily. I love the ability to convert from pants to shorts and the option to roll up the pants cuff and button it in place or use the elastic cords. My only complaint is that the size small I ordered was a bit too large. I am 5' and about 110 lbs and usually a small (or size 4 petite) is perfect for me. I expected they might still be a bit long but for this product a size small is a bit large. I've re-ordered in an XS. The waist is fitted in the front but elastic in the back. I'm not particularly curvy so I was a bit concerned with the fit being just loose enough to fall down, especially with anything weighted in the pockets. I will update once I've received the XS but I suspect they will fit perfect. The size small has enough slack all the way around to take in a couple of inches and still fit comfortably compared to what I typically expect of this size.

Great pants for outdoor adventure
Comfortable, durable, and versatile. Perfect for my recent safari in Tanzania. Love the many pockets with zip or Velcro closure. The ability to switch between full-length pants, roll up the legs to capri length, or zip-off into shorts was great for a trip where the weather was variable. I am 5'2" and 125 lbs, and a small fit perfectly.

Weird elastic cinch at bottom
I really liked the cut of these pants—they fit well in the waist/butt/length but the elastic on the bottom is really strange and the reason I’m returning them. The elastic is too long and hangs off a lot of you if it is cinched or not. Not a great feature for a pair of hiking pants.

You will love these hiking pants!
Comfortable, look great on. True to size. Love there are 5 real usable pockets. The 3 length options are so nice , and unzipping the legs is not hard, or zipping the legs back on.
