Best socks I ever owned. Until now I've worn GI issue wool blend OD green socks almost exclusively, and have since the 80's when I enlisted. My local military supply store just quit carrying them. While looking online I found these and decided to give them a try. I work in the natural gas transmission field now. I'm on my feet all day on every surface you can think of, in all types of weather. A good pair of boots and a good pair of socks are absolutely essential. These are by far the most comfortable yet. They are padded in all the right places, don't slip down, and don't bunch up at the toes. I can go all day without my feet giving me problems. I wear a size 13 boot so I ordered the XL. They fit perfectly. Going to order 6 more pair!

Before ordering, I looked at the reviews and the comments about calf size were legitimate. There is a piece of material at the top that, I assume, helps keep the sock from falling down the leg that can restrict comfort if you have larger calves. I have smaller calves so that isn't a problem for me. I am a landscape contractor, on my feet all day and have had trouble finding boots that are comfortable. these last pair of boots are Wellington style, which I like, but aren't the most comfortable and are probably a bit big. These socks are thick and compensate nicely for the wear ability of my boots. I hope they are also durable but won't know that for a while. I will order more though as they are very comfortable.

Almost 5 stars, but I reserve my 5 stars for perfect products. These are very comfortable socks and thick too. These have made my feet feel better after being in boots for 40hrs/week. My only problem is the tops of the socks, by the calves, are made a bit small. I don't have huge calves and they are tight. The actual sock that goes over the feet fit perfect. I will continue to buy these, but please make the top a bit less tight. Thanks.

I work outside (Maine weather), footwear and socks being critical to remaining comfortable. This sock is perfect for Fall and Spring use, but likely too hot in Summer and too cold in winter. Also, I wear a slip on style boot, and the extra thickness works really well as there's a little room in the boot. These are superior socks to typical Hanes or Fruit of the Loom junk. I've owned numerous Carhartt socks and these are great quality so far. Any extra cost in comparison to other cotton socks is easily justified by the increase in thickness and quality. They really are comfortable.

Great pair of socks. They’re snug with great support but not too tight for my size 13 boots. The colors are great and haven’t faded after several washes and unlike other socks haven’t worn or stretched out at all. The still feel as newWould recommend and will be buying more.What’s the point of buying nice$300 Redwing boots and cheap, thin socks that aren’t as comfortable as the boot boots? Get some! Do something nice for your feet and they’ll be good to you!

Bought these for the other adult to wear with his steel toe boots. These specialty socks can be difficult to find locally. It is hit and miss whether they are in stock so it is easier to order them here. This is a quality brand and the extra thickness in the toe box and heel area works well and the mostly cotton socks help prevent excessively hot and sweaty feet.And although the band at the sock opening has rather stiff elastic, they did not dig into his average-size calves or leave a mark. But I can see that with large legs the band may be unyielding to the point of discomfort. He wears a size 10 shoe and the fit for the 10-13 sock is true. They are machine washable so require no special treatment. Very comfortable and will definitely buy again.

I wear these socks twice a week in my work boots and don't have much of an issue with them. As the weather's gotten colder I find myself picking out warmer socks instead of these so they're not the warmest. They would be a great pick for all-season socks if they weren't so oddly shaped. For reference I'm a skinny guy with size 9 1/2 shoes. These socks are far too big for my feet and have about an extra inch and a half or more of toe room that ends up pulling the heel up to my ankle. So they're too big...but at the same time the calf area of the socks are super tight even on me who has skinny legs, so I can't imagine a bigger guy squeezing in to these things whatsoever so I have to wonder who are these socks designed for? At the end of the day my legs are often itchy and sore from the fabric being so tight around my legs and rubbing my leg hair, but most socks do and they still get the job done. I guess they would be 5 star socks if you are a size 11+ with sticks for legs
