I'm so pleased with this purchase. I never had a box grater before, but since I've bought this one, I've thrown my old flat grater in the trash. This box grater will easily grate and shred just about anything (cheese, carrots, potatoes). It's quite sharp though, so be careful you don't nick your knuckles. The thing that impresses me the most is that it has a nice rubber grip on the bottom that makes it very stable, and you can slip off the bottom rubber grip to wash it too!. It's not as wide as some I looked at but I like the slenderness of this grater for storage reasons. It seems to be very durable too, holding up well in the dishwasher. Some of the holes are very fine so I recommend using an old toothbrush to clean them if you zest anything sticky with it (like garlic or citrus), but that's to be expected. I highly recommend this grater for anyone who needs a new grater - - you'll be surprised at the difference!

I spent way too much time on Amazon looking for the right cheese grater. That's pretty sad, I know. I decided to go with this offering from KitchenBasix, and I'm very glad I did. I went off of reviews to get the best product for the best value, and this delivered.One of the things I really like about it is the fact that it's lightweight. Normally, that makes me nervous, as lightweight metal kitchen products can often be lacking in build quality. Not this grater. 3 months in, and it's going strong. That it is lightweight, it makes it much easier to work with. And. The holes are SHARP. I don't need to put any force on the cheese to grate it, saving elbow grease (literally).This product is superior in every way (price, performance, ease of use, and durability) that some of those other "brands" you find overpriced in the grocery aisle, with lots of uncecessary plastic and rubber. Finally: cleanup is a breeze.

I love this Cheese Grater & Shredder from KitchenBasix! I was looking for a replacement for an old one and came across this one. It has so many things going for it including a soft ergonomic handle, a removable rubber bumper around the bottom to prevent slipping which can be removed when washing and it is an open style so you can just rinse it easily in the sink. I have only grated cheese with it so far but I'm sure it will do a great job on veggies as well. It was well packaged and so reasonably priced. I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to give it as a gift.

The large side holes are way too big, larger than most you see, mostly worthless to me on that side. Sometimes food gets stuck in the rubber base but do a little more work to clean it. My biggest disappointment is that it doesnt fit in a drawer. I really thought this would fit in a drawer on its side but that is not the case.It is very sharp and the grip is very nice.

The product is great but you can buy stuff a lot of places. The prompt arrival of the item was certainly a welcome event but quick shipping is becoming more common. . The most impressive part of the whole transaction was not the good price,the quick arrival, the exceptional quality of the product right down to the comfortable handle and solid base but was the personable follow up. Chris and his dad are on the right track and will succeed with their family owned business on the simple use of good manners and concern for not just their product but for the people whom they serve.

This is not a cheap tin like grater - it is made of quality material and is stable and study to use. I like the nonslip base and handle. It cuts very sharp and is easy to clean. I rinse it off before putting it in the dishwasher. It washes well, no rust spots nor dulling of cutters from repeated dishwasher use. I would recommend this to family and friends, it saves a lot of time in the kitchen.

It's a classic box grater with different sides for coarse grating, zesting, slicing and fine grating. The handle on top is plastic and is large giving you a comfortable and very solid grip. The bottom edge is also trimmed in plastic, so it won't scratch surfaces etc...There really isn't that much more to say about it other than that, the design has been around forever for a reason and will still be around in the future even if we had replicators ...

I had, in the past, a much smaller version of this grater. Once you go large, you will find it’s simply worth it! We did have to make some room in our lazy Susan cabinet for this item, but let’s face it, there were things in there that needed to go anyway! This is a priority item. It is well made and easy to clean.
