I use this magnifier because I crochet and sometimes cannot read the instructions, and this helps A LOT. I have macular degeneration which interfers with a lot of my hobbies....and this help me read directions for croceting, cooking, and knitting I like to read also, so, duh, this is a winner in all directions.
