Solid and came sharp
The metal is a more basic one, so it won't keep edge for long, but it is what I need! I am using this as a gardening tool! The hookbill blade makes for a great mini hand sythe, so I am using it to cut the roots of some stubborn weeds below the soil! I looked for actual sythes and such, but I really wasnt sure what I was getting since they were no-name brands. With Cold Steel, I can look up the details of the metal and know that Cold Steel is a good name for inexpensive knives. It's working great for my odd needs. I wipe it clean and then spray it down with WD-40 after use (don't let the wd-40 rest on the rubber handle). So far so good!

Very Impressive
cold steel don't disappoint me yet. I just got this karambit, and its really impressive. Solid and safe grip a difference of other karambits. Really sharp and the tip is like a surgical scalpel. More longer than i thought. High Quality Karambit for the price. If you love karambits you should get this one.

seems like it will be a good knife
Knife is good. Sharp out of the box and fits the hand nicely. It has only one function and that is NOT a utility knife. The sheath is ok with one big drawback, the sheath/knife pops off of the belt clip and comes detached. The belt clip stays on the belt. This could result in the loss of the knife, at the worst possible time. A little adhesive placed in the right spot should fix that but Cold Steel could have done better. So only giving a four star rating overall.

Looks cool, not that good.
The steel is at least durable, but it does not come sharp at all. I sent it back to Coldsteel for re-sharpening, and even then, the blade is hardly capable of cutting through anything thick-er. Karambits, while extremely cool, I've learned, are extremely impractical. I recommend the Peacemaker II or III if you're looking for a self-defense knife. If you just want a karambit for your collection, I do recommend this. The case is also super nice. The clip is easily pulled outwards so you can hold it on your waist or pocket, and it locks the knife securely, without being hard to pull out.
