This stuff is awesome! In August our Papillon started losing his coat due to being very sick since March with vasculitis. It was coming out in handfuls! By beginning of October he had lost most of his beautiful coat! In mid-October I started giving him 1/2 of a chew once a day (He's 9lbs) I can't believe how fast his coat came back! By December it was all filled in, by January it was so thick and it came back curly! Even the fur on his legs is long and more full than it ever was. Not only is it full and curly, it's so soft and shiny. Lol, when our vet saw him at his recheck visit, she buried her face in his coat cause it was so soft! I highly recommend this stuff!! I rarely give reviews unless it's something that I feel really works well and I want to share with someone I think would benefit from it.

My vet recommended Welactin for my dog's joint issues. I tried the liquid version at first, but it didn't agree with my dog's stomach. I decided to try these before giving up, and am glad that I did. My dog is pretty small, so I cut all of the "treats" in half when I first get the bag and then give him one half for every meal. I just stick it in his food and he gobbles it right up. It doesn't smell good to me, but he loves the smell! The only drawback is that the treats are very firm and large. You need a sharp knife to cut them in half, and it still takes a little force. If you give these Welactin treats to your dog with meals, you'll probably want to cut the whole bag in half at once and keep them in an airtight container so they're ready to go when you need them. And still, if your dog is pretty small, half of each Welactin treat is pretty large. While my small dog would probably swallow the entire city hole if he thought it were food, I still feel a little nervous giving him such a firm hard treat of this size. But he's been taking these for almost a year without issue, and his coat and joints have never been batter.

I've been using the Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Supplement for a while now and I'm more than pleased. The multivitamins & minerals are a bonus. Although not the best tasting, I just add a bit of peanut butter and my dog gobbles it up! Starting giving this to our 10 year old Aussie who seemed to be developing stiff hips and difficulty getting up on sofa and up and down stairs. After about 3 weeks, there was a marked difference in his mobility. Moving with more ease. Bonus - he loves the taste and thinks it's a treat.

I used the gel capsules for years with our previous dog, per a vet recommendation due to allergies. We got a new pup and I noticed he was itchy and scratching at his ears. I just received these broke one in half and gave it to my 9 year old Rat Terrier. She has had skin issues with severe itch since she was 6 weeks old. I’ve tried everything. She weighs 22 pounds. She loved the peanut butter flavor. I the halve into 5 pieces and she gobbled it up. Yesterday she was having an episode so I rubbed her down with almond oil. It helped and she’s been 100 percent better. Hopefully the Nutramax Welactin Omegs 3 Fish Oil for dogs will moisten her skin and give some additional relief. I’ll keep you posted .
