As a retired machinist from a research facility I know precision and quality. Keep in mind that you’re rebuilding a golf cart that only goes 25mph, not a fighter jet. The parts are machined well, look good, and fit nicely. Before I started, my cart was noisy and rattled every time I went over a bump or crack on the road or path. People would turn and look as I approached or past. Now it’s much quieter, smooth, and huge steering improvement. The only thing you hear are the tires on the ground! The installation was fairly easy and you’ll need a set of wrenches and sockets in both metric and inches. I suggest printing the parts diagram from the Amazon description because there is NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER in the package…just parts! And the part numbers are useless and confusing! Just replace the parts you remove with new ones that match. No specialty tools were required but I used a flat end drive punch to remove the bronze bushings. See photo. A C-Clamp was handy for squeezing the bushings into the housings. I would also suggest spraying the bolts you are removing with WD-40 15 minutes prior to removing them because they’ve been there since the cart was built and rusty. Could save you from a broken bolt! A little tube of grease is handy to lube the shafts and bushings as you install them. Easy to do now but not so much later! I took my time and did the front suspension in an afternoon. When you’re done, don’t forget to check and adjust the wheel alignment. That’s fairly easy and YouTube videos are abundant. If you are not mechanically inclined you might not enjoy this project. If you did this rebuild yourself, you will have saved a Bunch of money and you should have a quiet and enjoyable cart to drive for years!
