Texture
Lovely flavour to cake. Unfortunately I personally found cake a little dry. I like a nice sticky moist fruit cake. But that is just my personal preference.

It went in the bin.
If you want a delicious cake, then avoid this one because it is awful. It was dry, and dull. I thought I'd treat myself to an expensive old fashioned fruit cake. The cherries I thought would be in the cake, were a few horrible half cherries on the top. I tried to eat one, I couldn't, it was that bad. I can't recall many cakes worse than this one. It was packed with dried fruit, (with the emphasis on dried) but there was not much actual cake, so it didn't hold well together. I took two small bites, but could eat no more, I threw the rest in the bin. Here's my rule of thumb; Would I buy it again? Definitely not. And surely it's repeated sales that makes for any successful business. I would have bought one a Month, had it been what I expected. What a let down, what a rip off! You can't write a review without awarding one star, trust me, it didn't deserve one.

Yummmm!
I bought the ginger and Apricot cake. It was lovely way better than I thought.After ordering I was having doubts of it being fresh..how wrong was I eh! The cake was moist, full of fruits and just the right amount of sweetness. Very nice! The only thing I wished for was a little bit of kick from the ginger would have rounded this off perfectly; couldn't taste the ginger much although there was sufficient pieces in it. But still a beautiful cake.

Old Stock ?
Bought one of these cakes last December. Lovely moist cake.Just as I like it. So recently, October.Bought another one.Must of been old stock. Very dry and crusty on the outside of the cake.Didn't have a sell by date.Very disappointed ☹️Should refresh their stock more often. Don't waste your money.Unless stated when baked. 🥺
