I received the rc VW with some damage to the wheels. The seller was kind enough to send a replacement set. The rc car itself is wonderful with great detail and it works flawlessly!

If anything I would say th instructions could be better. I would have never figured out how to switch from four-wheel drive to two if I hadn't read the comments. One person said to Press and hold channel 4 and the vehicle goes from 4WD to RWD. I seen videos of people taking the screws out in the front and back to install the bumpers and the horn. I didn't bother installing them. I just wanted to rest Everything to make sure it functioned. The car is great. Not sure if doors are supposed to be flush with VW body. They seem to be spring loaded because they push outward some even when latched. If anything I wish the front hood opened with a lock instead of just popping it up. It's awkward getting it open. The back engine cover raises too easy. Still a great looking vehicle.

I have a few RocHobby cars and this one is just as impressive as the others. If someone told me this was a static model, I would be impressed but to know that this is also radio controlled is flat out unread. The cars fit and finish is great, details are well executed and numerous, the driveline is incredibly well made, performance is scale and the electronics outstanding. The car should be looked at more like a motorized model versus a radio controlled car due to speed (slightly more than walking at full pelt), suspension clearance and open, limited slip diffs but if you are into scaler RC cars, this is right in line with those. If you think about how a 45 hp VW beetle would run and then scale it down, that is what you have with this little gem.

The car looks fantastic. Excellent detail. But unfortunately, at this point I cannot get the car to go in reverse. I'm trying to figure out if it's just me. Pull the trigger one way for forward, and go the other way for reverse, correct? I'm going to look online for some reviews and videos to see if I'm doing something wrong.

This car is built from the original blueprints, just scaled-down. Selectable high and low transmission ranges. Doors open with the door handle and latch closed. True reproduction of the suspension components down to the gear reduction boxes on the rear drive train. Basically looks like they shrank the real thing down to get this model

This is a great scale model, down to the extra spare tire under hood. Kind of weird they would have so much detail and miss a big detail, technically this is a type 87/7, not an 82e, 82e was 2wd and based on kubelwagen chassis, this is 4wd so this needed to be on the wider channel chassis of the schwimwagen to incorporate a driveshaft for 4wd. Also it doesn’t come with blackout headlight covers as shown online and in the manual, I reached out to FMS and they had no idea what I was talking about, other than that great model

Item arrived and when I unboxed the front bumper was already broken. Also the four-wheel-drive function would not engage. Can’t seem to find an easy contact for getting replacement parts. For $250 I would expect to have some better line of communication or at bare minimum item not arriving broken.
