Made putting a CarPlay radio into the car simple

Bought a aftermarket radio to make my truck have a new feel, and to cut down on cords and such. Had a heck of a time getting the 15 dollar adapter to work, came to find out I would need to cut and spice the OEM wiring to make the cheapo adapter work. That did not sit well, did some more research and discovered I needed this type of adaptor with some brains behind it. Ordered it, soldered up the harness to the one that came with the aftermarket radio, and it worked as expected. Chimes work, radio delay off works. Does what it should. Highly recommend it.

Make sure you go to the Axxess website and verify this fits your vehicle. The description is vague and they don’t give full details in the listing, this does not fit all 2000-2013 GM vehicles only a select list. Many models drop off around 05 or 08.I bought this for a 2012 to find out my particular model hasn’t been supported since ‘03 with this interface.

Easy to install and every wire is labeled. I recomend sodering for better and durable connections.

This harness works perfect on gm vehicles and at a lower cost than other ones out there. Be careful though. The description claims it retains the steering wheel controls. It does NOT. It's pre-wired for the steering wheel control module but does not include the module. You have to purchase that separately.

You need to buy the separate steering wheel controls module!! Don't let them fool you with "retains steering wheel controls" false advertisement!! I get it wired together and go to plug the black module box in and there isn't a spot for a second plug! Unacceptable!!

B*** Buy wanted over $200 for an interface kit to install a $100 aftermarket radio into my truck! Nope. Went to Amazon and found both the radio and this kit and installed it myself for a lot less!! Everything was pretty much straight forward if you're semi-competent with doing this sort of thing.
