Norden: Building a Working Model Victorian Steam Engine: A Workshop Handbook for Model Engineers
C**N
but is fun and easy to read
Not only does this book have everything you could need, but the castings, and he even gives a source for those, but is fun and easy to read. It does contain a few words and terms we yanks may not understand, but that does not cause building problems. If there is any complaint, it is as with most books of this nature published in Great Britain, the drawings and photos are not parallel to the text. It is either two or three pages ahead or behind the illustrations. I know I'm being knit picky, but it is distracting until about the third read. That said, there is no reason anyone with some basic knowledge and practice can't take these instructions, build the patterns, have the parts cast, or cast your own and build this beautiful Victorian Engine.Buy it. you will enjoy it, even if you don't build it
