This is an excellent book on how the body works to keep healthy. Understanding how it can heal itself given the correct way of taking care of it. The how and why of disease and poor health and the answers to how the body can be in good health.

I have done a lot of reading and studying about metabolism, even spending an entire weekend attending a metabolism workshop put on by my doctor. Dr. Ostler teaches, in this book, an easy to understand explanation of how our cells function; how they burn fuel and turn it into energy. Also, an accurate commentary on the average American diet that has us addicted to foods which cause our cells to break down and sets us up for disease processes. It's easy to understand and I can't wait to teach it to the people I know and love. Everyone needs to know this information to make wise choices and stay healthy!

A simple, understandable book addressing a most complex topic that is important to every one of us - our human body and how it really works. If you know how the body works, then you can learn how fuel it and, even more important, what not to fuel it with.
