HUGE upgrade
I upgraded from a 6 year old HP laptop to this and I love it. Great gaming pc.

Worth it if you catch it on sell.
I didn't want a huge flashy desktop for gaming so I got this one because at the time it was on sell. Every game I've played so far has been on ultra settings. I think the regular price is a little high for what you get but I think your paying for the HP logo on the front.

Edited... it crashed, I fixed it,
Original review was really anger filled... things have changed. It crashed within 20 minutes of firing it up. I ended up getting a fresh windows loaded through USB and even though all the included software was gone, it's running decent now. Then after a lot of work getting it to take a new install, which was harder than it should have been, I finally fired up a game and it wouldn't play, I checked the system info and did a "will it play" detector and both said the 8gb ram GPU only had 1gb...Oh I was mad, and fired off a 1 star review. Then I checked every driver, and loaded every companion software for the GPU, and it still says 1 gig on system info and the will it play, but CPUID says 8gigs and it plays games now, so I brought up the review. But what if someone not slightly computer savvy bought it? I've read all the horror stories of trying to return it... I'm glad I don't have to right now.

Excellent performance, reasonable price
I picked this PC up on sale, but it would have been a good value at full price. If you haven’t yet tried the AMD Ryzen processor family, you should. The processor is fast, stable, and runs at a fairly low temperature. The discrete video processor, while not a top of the line unit, still is clearly better than any on board shared memory arrangement. The 500 GB SSD is quite sufficient for almost all users; I have a lot of software loaded on my PC, and I still have over 50% available disk space. The case is understated and quite attractive. It doesn’t have a window (which I like), and the only bling is the large green light at the front bottom, which sort of flashes with disk activity. Between the front panel and the back panel, there are abundant USB ports, and a good number of them are USB 3.You could spend more and get less PC than this one, which to me is good value.

Great PC
This is my first computer. Can’t recommend enough. If you don’t want to go deep downy the pc rabbit hole this is for you. This plays Overwatch, gta, cod, valarant perfectly well.
