Hidden Mysteries: Salem Secrets - Witch Trials of 1692 - PC

i love interaction ho's i have bought many of them' this is a good game. you'll use the hints as some ho's are well hidden right before your eyes. coming from the area it not really historically note worthy but a great mystery none the less, the puzzle games are easy enough to do, but you do a lot of traveling throughout the town of salem, you better be good with directions and memory i had problems when it was a day or two before i could get back to the game i had to figuire the layout all over again. there's a map but not always accurate and has missing buildings on it. its a game teen and adults will enjoy you are hunting for clues to help 4 girls possessed by an unknown force. the graphic are really great this is a game with good replay value

I just finished this game and have to say that it retained my interest better than most of the HO game I have played lately. The layout and graphics are quite good; I found it easy on the eyes. The object searches weren't overly challenging, and I would say they could be made a little more difficult, but fair enough. The door puzzles were challenging enough for me, as I'm not a spatial relations genius.Yes, it would be a lot more interesting if all the hidden objects were period pieces, but I can well imagine that nobody pays game creators enough for the research and graphics work this would take.The more historically authentic the better, but this was great fun anyway.

The graphics are cool and the few characters (a witch in the end and four girls) but I was pretty disappointed with this game and regret purchasing it. I have games by EA and Viva media, and when you get stuck the hint button is very helpful and you have little need for a strategy manual. In this game created by Gunnar it is worthless! In fact, I got stuck so many times I finally printed up the strategy manual of 31 pages which now leaves me having to spend about 50.00 dollars on new ink cartridges. I also found many others in various websites experiencing the same problem as myself. The map is also of little help and rarely will a certain area light up to guide you to the next area. As you go through the town of Salem you'll find many locked doors with signs, but are not part of the game and just part of the story (i.e., Jane just lost her husband..." "Keep out! Warning!" Means nothing. The ending? LAME! Magic potions, special keys, and the ending has ZERO to do with the storyline. You have an evil witch casting spells. You catch the witch in the very end with the thought maybe you blow her up or something? Think again. Think more along the lines of a Dick Tracy ending. What I also disliked was way too many hidden object areas. Complete one and led to another, another, another. Personally would never buy another game made by Gunnar. Sticking to EA or Viva.

i love this game as well as midnight mysteris...salem witch trials..they both corralate to some real discovered issued of how and why salem had problems....i won't say here...this game you must get along with the other i mention...you'll see....great graphcis story line and game... you search rooms and the town of salem...actually visting the city as it once was...search for game pieces, solve puzzles, talk to ghost and help the past people of salem....very good gaem...this is another good game to play alone at night....i loved it...interesting....

Based on 90 minutes or so of gameplay, I'm actually rating this item as two-and-a-half stars, with its pros (a cool photo-realism look to the graphics, many HO scenes) negated by its cons (blah music, only one experience level of play, a non-interactive map, a decidedly unfriendly so-called "hint" button, puzzles with no explanation of what it is you're expected to do). Arrived here on time and packaged well.

Terrific graphics set the scene, interesting story, plenty of hints, option to skip puzzles,good voice acting and well written journal. There is an excellent walkthrough on line by Big Fish also. The game will not let you proceed until you have all the items needed but if you get stuck the walkthrough saves a lot of time and frustration. Enjoyable game. Had no problems with the type of items presented in the hidden object parts of the game.

It is not easy to navigate to play this game. she says she plays it in small stages because it is lengthy and takes a lot of trying to figure out when and where to be

Fun hidden object game. There are just enough puzzles to make it a little challenging. The artwork is very nice. Some of the related clues were not obvious and slowed the play down because there is not dialogue or anything which connect the puzzles.
