This pen is really beautiful, the shell casing is just stunning, it is so well crafted, i love that it is designed for the pen lid to click firmly onto the end when in use. It has a lovely weight to it and writes beautifully. Although it says the nib is fine, it writes the same as my medium nibbed Wordsworth & Black. I am absolutely delighted with this pen : D

Just received this today and on first opening I must say this is one of the most stunningly beautiful pens I have ever seen. I feel decadent just owning it. You almost want to sit and stare at it , never mind write with it. However, in practical terms, it seems well made and looks classy. It's fairly weighty and if you keep your lid on the end of the pen, it's slightly top heavy but I'm good with that as I like a bit of weight. Pen lid fits on with a nice snap. I was worried about the fine nib as I'm used to a medium and the nib isn't changeable but it's absolutely no problem. It comes with a piston converter but takes international standard cartridges too. I'm looking forward to using it with my Diamine inks. It writes nice and smoothly, no dragging or scratching so far. My only slight disappointment is you can't change the nib yourself. But I shall be using it as my everyday pen and I anticipate enjoying it enormously.

I bought this for myself as my best pen a Platinum fountain pen by Cartier is becoming such a pain to get to write clearly without hang ups in the ink...I looked for quite some time before choosing this Beauty...I chose this over several much more expensive pens including Montblanc's etc.....This pen is a beauty to behold; All Mother of pearl when closed....open and place the well balanced top on the base and behold it's magnificence with gleaming chrome writing piece that has the choice of free flowing Black or Blue ink...A wonderful choice for someone who just got a promotion or is Starting into better implements to write with.

Stunning looking pen and writes like an absolute dream, even for a leftie like me! Slightly on the heavy side, but I write without the lid attached and it's perfect.

This pen was beautiful, and well packaged. Obviously a lot of thought had been put into the marketing of this pen, with special touches that made it feel premium. However it wasn’t functional for me as it was too heavy, so unfortunately I needed to return it.

Stunning pen, I love looking at the different colours in the light. Comfortable to use. Schmidt 888F refills about £7 for six available here on Amazon in blue or black. Very happy with this pen.

This fountain pen has a German made stainless steel tip, and is Iridium plated, it writes much smoother than I expected! For the money, this pen is a serious value! It's very solid and well made, and absolutely beautiful!

This is a lovely gift set. The pen is lovely and writes very well. The ink comes out smoothly with little resistance or grit. It feels well balanced in my hand when writing. The letter opener works very well. I was able to easily slit open the mail with very little effort. The mother-of-pearl finish is very classy looking. It will look good on an office desk. That being said, I do not think it is a good value item. At $167.00 at the time of review, this seems to be a very steep price for this item.
