The individual packets are quite small, about one square inch, and are in strips of three, so you need to separate them at the perforated line. When you open them up, the wipe is folded up so you need to unfold it to the true 5" by 7" size, but I think it's convenient that way since it makes it smaller to store or carry versus having it already unfolded and in a 5" by 7" packet. The wipes are just the right amount moist enough to do the job, not dry at all, but they aren't dripping or soaking wet. I did notice a semi-strong smell of menthol & alcohol when I opened the wipe though.
