I hike a few times a week all year--regardless of heat, cold, snow, rain, or mild smoke from fires. These socks don't fail to impress. They are comfortable and durable. I have other brands, but they are slowly finding their way out (usually due to a hole in the heel) and then I add a pair of Smartwool socks. And I rarely need to add a pair. They just survive longer. It's evolution, baby!

These make a huge difference! I did a 2 day hike and compared a day of these to a day of some Salomon hiking socks I’d purchased at the same time and the difference was night and day. Comfortable feet on a long hike is a necessity and these achieve that.
