Best Value Out By Far!
Ok so this boat is the real deal, by that I mean, if you want a decent RC boat to get started out with, this is the way to go. I am heavily into the RC hobby and have several cars and boats, the quality of this boat is great, especially for the price. The steering servo is strong and fast, the boat handles VERY well and is extremely nimble. It is very fun to drive and rarely flips over even with the very responsive steering. No biggie if it does though because it just self rights itself as you'd expect. The brushless motor has a great amount of power, and the included batteries are good quality with decent connectors that allow for a decent amperage flow. The batteries are also 2000mah which last well over 10 minutes even with non stop full throttle in this boat. The remote is simple and great quality. Range is extremely good, and even has a button for lights and auto pilot! I thought that was a pretty cool feature, but the boat is so much fun to drive I find myself rarely using it. I also love the power limiting dial. I can turn the power down whenever I hand it to a friend, or my kids and can rest assured they won't damage the boat or drive it away too far. I tend to prefer RC Cars because you can jump them, do donuts, flips, etc. But this Brushless boat has so much power and is so nimble it really is very enjoyable to drive. The power is instant and I like that the boat has an actual propeller rather than being jet powered. You get much more of a sensation when you can actually see the rooster tail behind the boat. It will even kick water up at you when you take off from a dead stop, my kids love it lol. This boat is a tad bit larger than several other non brushless boats I have, and I love the extra length. But its still not big enough for my 3 year old son to carry around. I like that the included batteries also include a balance port, which is great for an experienced hobbyist like myself because I can check the voltage of each cell which makes life easier, as well as hook it up to one of my more expensive chargers. The included chargers work well, but just take a little longer to charge. But with two batteries, that really isn't an issue. I love the bright bold colors also, makes the boat very visible even from afar, along with the awesome rooster tail that's always present. To sum it up, this boat is awesome and has held up well with the bashing I've done. I have no doubt it will continue to hold up, and even if something breaks I love how Alpharev has many of their spares here on Amazon with fast shipping. You can also always count on them to respond to your inquiries if you send them an email. Highly recommended!

Fast, agile, ready-to-run, and well-built
I’m new to RC boats and part of a group forming a club to race in our community pool and lake. I got hooked watching two friends drive their larger and more expensive boats in the pool. After considerable research I bought the AlphaRev RC Boat R608 instead and found it to be perfect for anyone starting out. I could runs circles around the others in the pool, because of the controller's ability to dial back the speed, making it easier to control. As we plan regattas in different classes, I expect this boat will beat any others selling for $100 or less. We'll likely also race classes under $200 and under $400. For longer courses, I may want to buy a bigger boat, but for for the pool or short courses, I'm happy now. I especially like features the prevent losing the boat in the middle of the lake, like self-righting and warning alarms for low battery and getting out of range. Even if I lost the boat, I view it as the best $100 I've spent in a long time. Grins every time I drive it.

This thing rips!
First off, I did have an issue with the first boat I received. I think the esc went bad, but customer service was awesome and had a replacement in my hands in 5 days from initial complaint. But overall this little boat rips and is a blast to drive. I grew up in hobby grade RC, mainly cars, but wanted a boat to play with out at the lake when camping. This one was on sale, and for the price I figured it was worth a shot. It is pretty fast for what it is, and handles great. I charge the batteries off of my higher end charger so it takes much less time than the ones that come with it, but the stock battery life is pretty solid.

Doesn’t work At All
Charged the battery put it in the water. The LED light doesn’t come on bought a second battery with the boat, charged it. The light won’t come on so it won’t work. Piece of junk I think! Doesn’t respond to the controller. I bought it for my friend who is a disabled vet and has PTSD. He wasn’t feeling good and didn’t take it out for about two months so now that it doesn’t work he’s stuck with a broken boat. This product really sucks! They won’t take it back because it’s over 30 days old and it hasn’t been used!

Impressive. Worth every penny.
The battery ran for 15 minutes straight out of the box. When the battery started getting low, the remote started to beep to warn us. The boat has several speeds so my 9 year old can control it on his own. We did lose the white cover piece that goes on the front of the boat right away. Threw the boat in the water and it fell right off. It's fun to throw the boat and watch it auto correct itself.
